A former policeman on death row failed in the Federal Court today on an application to review a question of law as to whether his conviction could stand, since judgments from the High Court, Court of Appeal and the apex court were all in English.

Appearing for the policeman Harcharan Singh, lawyer Karpal Singh submitted that the judgments should have been in the national language, or parts of it should have been in Bahasa Malaysia.
