'To a question as to the identity of the ‘main actor', the IGP could very well have mentioned if the man is as what is claimed by the infamous Datuk T.'
'Even if not doctored, it isn't Anwar in sex video'
Singa Pura Pura: Is there a statutory duty on the part of the police to investigate a case of unlawful possession and screening of pornographic material - with the sole purpose that the inspector-general of police could thereafter announce to the public at large that the production of the said pornographic material was authentic or otherwise?
The PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) is wasting public funds by carrying out an investigation that goes off tangent from the central subject-matter of the relevant police reports - which is the unlawful possession and screening of pornography.
In any case, does the IGP's verdict of ‘not doctored' mean ‘not digitally doctored' or does it also mean ‘not manually doctored' as in ‘no impersonation involved'?
JBGUY: It looks like even the IGP is playing politics. To a question as to the identity of the ‘main actor', he could very well have mentioned if the man is as what is claimed by the infamous Datuk T.
By refusing to answer the question he is deliberately prolonging the issue in the hope that DSAI (Anwar Ibrahim) will continue to be suspected by the general populace who do not know better.
If I do not know any better, it seems that the police today are card-carrying members of Umno, MCA or MIC.
PS: It is sad to note that the public are slowly but surely losing confidence in the police. How can the police expect the public to play their part in bringing down the crime rate when they themselves, for reasons only known to themselves, refuse to do what they should be rightly doing, i.e. bringing the culprits (Datuk T) to book?
Why have the police not given a statement to clarify the matter? The public want answers and they deserve one.
Dumbkong: The biggest problem that I can identify is not about who is in the video, but the integrity and independence of the police.
To ensure the police force is neutral, I think it should be placed under the auspices of the Parliament, not the Home Ministry.
The post of chief police commissioner should also be open to either 1) direct election by the people together with GE, or 2) nominated by a select committee and subject to approval by the whole Parliament.
Ablastine: First, though morally incorrect, is it a crime to have sex with a prostitute? I don't recall any law which says that it is.
So if it is not, why are the police so concerned about who is in the porn movie? Their primary concern should be the people who showed pornography, watched the pornography and the place which allowed this to be shown. Whether or not the actor was Anwar is irreverent because the person in the video has not committed any crime by having sex with somebody.
The people who secretly filmed it should be arrested for invading the privacy of the victims in the video.
Anonymous_3dhb: The denial syndrome is very contagious among PKR leaders and their supporters. That is why at the next GE we must crush PKR, and allow only the DAP and PAS in the opposition.
PKR is truly a trivial party that thrives only on foolish people who think they can take over Putrajaya. What's more, even if Anwar comes out and says he is the person in the movie, many idiots will still follow him for one reason and only one reason, they want BN out.
This is wishful thinking at best.
Anonymous_4135: This whole sex video episode is to cast aspersions on Anwar's character. There was Sodomy l, Sodomy ll and now this sex video. These BN goons, including Datuk T and the police, are trying to cast doubts in people's mind.
It doesn't matter if it is doctored or if it is Anwar in the video. Enough doubt is cast to sway those in the kampong who have no Internet access to eventually vote for BN.
This is gutter politics and big-time character assassination.
Michael Angelo: Lots of lighting and thunder, still no rain. We still do not if the actor is DSAI, unlike the Chua Soi Lek video. We will never know until and unless we view it.
Until then, everything is up in the air. As such, DSAI should be given the benefit of the doubt and presumed innocent.
RON97 price goes up by 20 sen
Sarawakian_3ff9: Another killer punch in our face by the Najib government. Meanwhile, they are prepared to spend billions on useless projects such as the new palace, renovation in PM's residence because the PM's wife wants to live like a queen and the Parliament building (again).
They should learn to govern prudently like the Penang state government instead of wasting time making dirty videos and dreaming up scams to leech our hard-earned money. I say time to kick these bunch of nincompoops out.
Bertrand Russell: Our government should learn to keep the price of petrol down and not increase it at their whims and fancies. There are many people who still use RON97.
This is what happens when we give power to a bunch of idiots to run the country. Why should a petroleum producing country keep on raising petrol prices. It just shows incompetency and fraud plaguing our country.
Righteous: Spend billions on crony projects, unnecessary defence items and ‘buy-elections', and then ask us to change our spending habits. Malaysia produces oil, why is there a need for us to follow outside market prices?
Produce oil for the rakyat instead of making all the politically-connected fat.
Jack Leong: You don't call this 'rationalisation'. Price hike is price hike, just get to the point.
Penang PKR suspends leader behind Najib event
Bozuka: This is a lesson for PKR for accepting any Tom, Dick and Harry into the party knowing their track record. They can be ex-Umno, ex-MCA or ex-MIC but all are the same. PKR, you need to prove and convince the people that you are different from the BN.
Your choice of members and candidates for the next GE should be principles-driven. I am sure eventually M Nyana Segaran will be bestowed a datukship for betraying PKR.
Satu Malaysian: This katak has come full circle from MIC to Gerakan to PKR and now to the BN, but which party in the BN will take him? Why doesn't he form another Indian party in the BN? Like MUIFP - the Malaysian United Indian Frog Party. Then the 200 priests and all the other frogs in the BN can be members.
DontPlayGod: Good riddance to him. It's better he shows his true colours now than later at the next GE. Let all those ex-MCA, ex-Gerakan, ex-MIC, and ex-whatever go back to their parties now.
They had expected Pakatan to operate like the BN, with extensive perks for those in positions.
