Pandemonium ahead of Eskay's oath-taking

It was anticipated that businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah would take an oath to prove he is telling the truth about the sex video he claims is of Anwar Ibrahim. He was said to be on his way to the mosque. It was later learnt that he would be coming at the time for Asar prayers, at around 4.30pm.
Part of the crowd, apparently pro-opposition, also chanted “Qazaf, qazaf” and called for the Federal Territory Islamic Religious Department (Jawi) to arrest Eskay for making allegations of adultery without proof.
There was almost a stampede when a group of about four burly men in red and blue Polo T-shirts pushed through the crowd yelling, “Keluar, keluar” (get out).
PKR Youth members claimed that the men were not from their side. The crowd pushed the group of four outside the main hall.
Meanwhile, about 50 people including PKR Youth leader Shamsul Iskandar Md Akin prayed inside the mosque.
The PKR Youth members then proceeded to lead a
doa
(prayer) to ask for protection for those who are slandered and retribution for those who cast slurs.
The chairperson of the mosque, Abdul Razak Husin, pleaded for the crowd to leave the mosque for fear that something untoward might happen.
“Please, I am pleading with you, leave the mosque now. We are all Muslims,” he said.
As the crowd dispersed some yelled, “Anwar zina”, leading to others to yell in protest, but the commotion quickly died down.
After the crowd dispersed, about 10 men and a schoolboy held up placards in the mosque compound, which among others read “ Qazaf bukan sumpah ”.
The police asked them to leave the mosque compound after about 10 minutes.
Sources close to the businessman claimed that Eskay is still on his way.
Riot police have lined up at the back entrance of the hall where Eskay is expected to come through, while police have closed off all other entrances.
