No GE without a clean electoral roll

your say 'Since so many discrepancies and flaws are found, the present electoral roll should be scrapped and new one implemented as soon as possible.'

PAS reveals another 'phantom voter centre'

Meranti Kepong: This is a very serious matter involving the integrity and trustworthiness of the Election Commission (EC) which is supposed to be non-partisan, impartial and neutral in its work.

Since so many discrepancies and flaws are found, the present electoral roll should be scrapped and new one implemented as soon as possible before the next general election.

To ensure accuracy, honesty and absolute impartiality, the Parliament must include a fool-proof method so that the same ‘mistakes', whether deliberate or not, will not happen again to affect the confidence of all legitimate voting Malaysians.

AnakMalaysia: Umno/BN can only survive on phantom voters. That is the reality - without pengundi hantu , they are as good as dead.

I have many ex-Umno friends who told me personally they have voted more than once in the previous GE. One even voted four times.

That is why we need to overhaul the EC. No way can we continue with the present set of EC team. Bersih 2.0 has done much. Let us continue to work until all institutions are 100 percent cleaned.

Mohan Ghandi: Bersih is vindicated. Firstly, the people have sent the message to the government in a very firm manner.

Many Umno-BN big wigs are also reviewing their position on the matter - leaders like Deputy Higher Education Minister Saifuddin Abdullah have been vocal on these matters , enough to make Najib do a U-turn, which even the police and EC did not expect.

Now with the processing centres for "freshly imported" Indonesian/Malaysian citizens and voters all over Peninsula (previously in Sabah) the fate of the country has gone to the dogs.

Gunner: To any Sabahan, this modus operandi is an open secret. Everyone knows. But NRD (National Registration Department), EC, the police and the BN government are not doing anything. The population of the new citizens has outnumbered the locals in most of the towns in the east coast.

Bhajnik Singh: Hear this loud and clear BN, we in West Malaysia are not like our fellow citizens in the East, poor and subservient (and this is no fault of theirs but the continuous repressive administration of BN) and easily accept the treachery that is being done here.

Be very, very careful, the wrath of all patriotic Malaysians will bury you in the next GE.

Neders: This is nothing short of treason and totally unacceptable. If true, it must have been carried out with the consent of Umno leaders. They are prepared to sell their very souls just to stay in power.

I suspect the EC is also in cahoots with the powers-that-be. PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police) must investigate the matter thoroughly and come down hard on the perpetrators, otherwise the country is finished. IGP, you do understand what is at stake I trust.

Bluemountains: Nothing will happen to such EC and NRD officers because they are acting on the orders of top leaders in the country. At the most, they will pretend to use the ISA on them so that they can be kept away to prevent the details from coming out into the open.

Remember how the six immigration officers were released from ISA after they have taken an oath, and until today, the public does not know who they are.

Khairuddin Mohd Yusof: Why are we granting the non-professional foreigners, be they Indonesians, Bangladeshis or Filipinos, easy access to be citizens of Malaysia?

Are they not (the powers-that-be) betraying the nation by compromising on the sovereignty and security of our country and constitution. We, Malaysians, should not give in to such dastardly act as it involves our independence, security and sovereignty.

Ez: First we fought for independence, then our soldiers sacrificed their lives during the Emergency to maintain our independence, now we are selling the country to foreigners. We have to wake up, otherwise it will all be gone.

Bender: I'm not sure if the Agong is aware of what is going on in this country right now. But if I were in His Majesty's shoes, I would be outraged by the actions taken by the ruling government.

Millions of PATIs (illegal immigrants) are given easy access to become citizens overnight, which means there are millions of people who has no loyalty to or respect for the royal institutions are being made citizens. This is treason of the highest order.

This action alone will erode the royal institution and once these fast-track citizens begin to breed and multiply, the whole country will be lost.

Therefore I urge the royalties, especially the Agong, to step in and stop this madness immediately. This is not about politics anymore, this is about the nation's sovereignty. Please.

Dark Archon: This doesn't come as a surprise at all. BN is selling out the country to foreigners just to cling on to power, regardless the consequences. In the olden days, treason against the king is a crime punishable by death.

Multi Racial: I believe they have been doing this and probably get worse after 2008. Definitely someone senior in EC and the NRD is assisting in this process. It is so shameful.
