DAP-PKR row over seats rages on in Johor
Johor DAP chief Dr Boo Cheng Hau will be to blame if Pakatan fails to capture Johor in coming election, says Ledang PKR division chief.
The PKR-DAP dispute over seat allocation in Johor has worsened, with a PKR division now saying Johor DAP chief Dr Boo Cheng Hau will be the culprit if Pakatan fails to capture Johor in the next general election.
In a statement issued today, Ledang PKR division chief Ng Keng Chuan lambasted Boo (

"Not only does this action not help Pakatan to capture Johor, it has made him (Boo) the number one culprit," Ng said.
He said Boo had broken the gag order several times during press conferences and in political speeches at dinners.
"He even bragged that DAP can rule Johor by itself, without considering the feelings of the other coalition parties."
Boo, who is Johor state assembly opposition leader, last week criticised PKR for refusing to concede some of its seats to DAP in order for the party to contest an equal share of the parliamentary seats in Johor.
In the last general election, of the 26 parliamentary seats in Johor, DAP contested six while PAS and PKR went for eight and 11 respectively. The remaining seat was a walkover for the BN.
'Boo haunted by Johor DAP infighting'
It was later revealed that another source of friction is the Gelang Patah parliamentary seat, which Johor PKR chief Chua Jui Meng is said to be eyeing as his old seat of Bakri has fallen to DAP. He did not contest in the last general election, while still in MCA.
In the statement, Ng advised Boo not to spill the beans just to tighten his grip over Johor DAP, which Ng claimed was being haunted by infighting.
"Although giving such statements can uplift his own reputation in the party, it will destroy the comradeship in Pakatan."
He urged Boo to follow Pakatan's agreement, under which all disputes over seat allocation that are unresolved are to be finalised by the federal leadership.
"Leaking the details of negotiations or giving statements sabotaging the negotiations will not only expose Boo's pettiness, but also reflects that he has no confidence in his own party leadership," said Ng.
He also wanted DAP to keep its word and return the Tangkak state seat to PKR, which he claimed was "lent" to DAP in the last general election.
"Don't become a hypocrite like BN, which adopts double standards," he added.
