Will Maximus take the bull by its horns?

YOURSAY 'Let's hope that PSC chief Maximus Ongkili will have the guts to do what he is supposed to do, even if it means stepping on Umno's toes.'

Project IC has 'tainted electoral roll' in Sabah

your say Swipenter: Thirty years after Project IC, the social, political and economic costs of selling the country to outsiders and foreigners for political power is only beginning to surface and it is going to mount as the new bumiputeras compete with bumiputeras for scarce resources to feed their special privileges and rights.

The non-bumiputeras won't be shielded from this intra-competition. What could be the likely outcome and scenario when there are not enough resources to go around feeding special privileges and rights?

This kind of reverse colonisation is going to haunt our country for a long time.

Tonsommansabi: As I said before, forming an RCI (royal commission of inquiry) to deal with the illegal immigrants cum illegal voters is a good idea, but I believe it does not work because there is no political will from the PM to do it for reason known to him and to the people in Sabah - namely the political survival of Umno in Sabah.

I believe the only way to solve the existence of illegal immigrants in Sabah is to change the government for the benefit of genuine Sabahans, irrespective of race and religion.

Sabah-based parties such as PBS, Upko, PBRS, LDP should withdraw from BN, and work together with Pakatan Rakyat to change the present government. Do it for the sake of your fellow Sabahans, now and the future.

Argonist: Isn't it 'surprising' (to use the least derogatory word for Sabah and Sarawak politicians) that politicians who have known about this Project IC for many years only feel brave enough now to stand up for the rights of Sabahans and Sarawakians?

Like in Egypt, all these politicians who served under Dr Mahathir Mohamad should be spat upon and thrown into the dustbin of history.

Don't go for their pious appeals to restore the rights of the people - they were very much part and parcel of the scheme as they did not do anything about it.

Dark Archon: Inilah satu lagi Project Barisan Nasional.

Fikirlah, wahai saudara-saudaraku.

Ruben: To all the leaders in Sabah, please don't sell out your own race, tribe and kinfolk. Sabah is blessed with abundant natural resources that should be enjoyed by all rightful citizens of Sabah.

The statistics on the electoral fraud in Project IC is so glaring that I fail to understand why the registration of illegal phantom voters and the significant alteration of demographics was allowed to happen in the first place.

Anyway, it's not too late. Please pursue this until justice is done and strip the citizenship and voting rights of the illegals so that what is rightfully Sabah really belongs to Sabahans.

Dark Knight: The biggest culprit and destroyer of Malaysian democracy, Mahathir, had gotten away every time he was subpoenaed - a situation made possible by the self-serving Umno government who had made the highest courts of the land compliant and subservient.

Malaysia's history of destructive forces are therefore threefold - Mahathir, Umno and the judicial service - enjoined and made possible by the belligerence of the attorney-general, the IGP (police chief), the MACC (Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission) and other regulatory bodies.

The only way to fight this axis of evil was to boldly confront the PM and Umno. Unfortunately, many in Umno and the non-Malay ministers had failed in their duties to protect the rakyat.

Anonymous_3e8f: Project IC II is going on in the peninsula for all non-Umno-held seats, particularly in Selangor and Penang.

Bluemountains: Let us hope that parliamentary select committee chief Maximus Jonhnity Ongkili will have the guts to do what he is supposed to do, even if it means stepping on the toes of some BN supremos.

If he does not succeed this time, not only will the future of his fellow Sabahans but also his personal integrity will be at stake.

Tailek: The politicians who masterminded and promoted Project IC led by none other than TDM (Mahathir) should be prosecuted for treason.

They have sold off the sovereign rights of genuine Sabahans all to just benefit Umno. They will take this undying shame to their graves and let not history forget to record their foul hand in this treasonous act.

SOSMalaysia: When a developing country like the Philippines is capable to bring to task and put Eric Estrada to jail, and now putting to trial Gloria Arroyo for graft and corruption, why is Malaysia unable to follow such examples?
