Gabungan Peneroka Generasi Wawasan Felda Kebangsaan (Gempak) has asked Felda Holdings Bhd chairman Isa Abdul Samad for a discussion over the proposed listing of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Sdn Bhd on Bursa Malaysia.

Its president Samsudin Othman and deputy president Rozali Ismail, in a joint statement today, said the listing decision was a technical matter that needed to be evaluated and understood before it is implemented.

isa samad interview 150509 "Let us remind him (Isa) to be cautious in making public statements to avoid causing disunity among Felda settlers," said the statement.

They said Gempak expressed its regret over Isa's statement in a Malay daily today that the listing would go according to plan despite Gempak's intention to appoint consultants from outside and within the country to review it.

Claming that it represents 1.5 Felda setters and their children, Gampak said: "What rights has Isa upon us as he is not even a settler or a settler's child like us.

"We are settlers and settlers' children for life and as Felda Holdings chairman he could be removed."
