Women, Family and Community Development Minister Shahrizat Abdul Jalil advised Malaysians to not be swayed by emotions when deciding on a party which was eligible to form the country's next government.   

shahrizat general hospital 050212 "Choose the government and don't choose emotionally, don't choose wrong. The opposition on the other side can only provoke to weaken our spirit. What happened in 2008 is in the past but don't make the same mistake twice," she said.  

She was speaking during a Women Charisma programme at the Kemas Activity Centre in Permatang Damar Laut where 400 disabled and under privileged people received aid, in Penang today.    

Shahrizat said as a government which has ruled Malaysia since independence, BN has always given top priority to its citizens' harmony and well-being.     

"We can be proud of our quality of life, even though there's still poverty, people still have food and are free to make a living," she added.  

Shahrizat, who will be relinquishing her ministerial post on April 8, said she would still support BN and promised that the Wanita machinery was fully prepared to ensure the party wins the 13th General Election.
