'PM, we fear BN's long-term occupation of Putrajaya'

YOURSAY 'Malaysians are wary of Umno's long occupation of Putrajaya by deceit ... and this is very worrying to those who want clean and fair elections."

Gov't feared long-term occupation of Dataran

Confused: With PM Najib Razak saying this, the government is finally admitting that they are the ones who had given the instructions not to allow Bersih 3.0 to be held at Dataran Merdeka.

So what nonsense were they telling the rakyat earlier that it was Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) that had made the decision?

Adrian_1991: Eh? Sorry, I didn't get the memo that we were meant to camp in Dataran Merdeka.

All I brought was salt, water and one helluva Malaysian kick-ass spirit. If I had known, I'd have brought my BBQ set and made hot dogs and chicken wings for everyone.

Seriously, I cannot believe there are people still voting for this bunch of idiots.

Chris Wong: Peaceful Malaysians were staging a peaceful protest at Bersih 3.0, what's wrong with that?

Najib, please do not spread malicious lies about people wanting to occupy Dataran Merdeka for the long term. If it is true, show proof, and besides, what is wrong with Malaysians wanting to stay there?

Stop the lies, stop the blackening of a movement demanding for clean and fair elections. The country's reputation as a working democracy has already been sullied by you and your team.

Fair Play : I just don't understand what the PM is trying to say. Dataran Merdeka is a public square. So what is wrong if the public want to 'occupy' it? It is their right.

Dood: Come on Najib, is that all your political advisers can come up with in trying to justify your actions? That you are afraid of long-term occupation of Dataran?

What a joke. It's almost as bad a joke as the Anwar Ibrahim sodomy cases.

Avatar_2397 BN has a not-so-secret plan to occupy Putrajaya forever, and therefore should not be allowed to have one single parliament seat at all.

Msiakini4all: Umno-BN, you are unwanted, unless you do a clean-up, starting with the Election Commission (EC) such as removing the two Umno goons that head it. All we want is clean and fair elections. Do it and prove to the citizens that the majority really votes BN.

Even though I will never vote for BN, but I will accept the vote of the majority.

Anonymous #32993250: Malaysians are wary of Umno's long-time occupation of Putrajaya by deceit or by a very non-independent EC, and this is very worrying to lots of Malaysians who want clean and fair elections.

Even foreign observers were disgusted with the way the police were array against the protesters and the level of democracy practised in Malaysia.

Clearwater: Let me put it bluntly. The people are sick of Umno-BN's long-term occupation of the government benches in Parliament House. You and your cabinet are a miserable failure. We want you out of there. Call for the GE now if you dare.

CiViC: What lame excuses from Najib. All of a sudden you have so much to say, yet before Bersih 3.0, you kept quiet most times, and during Bersih 3.0 you ran hiding in Sarawak.

And now, you try to be a hero. You don't even come close.

YF: In the world news, we often see the heads of state cutting short their foreign visits to head back home immediately to handle a national crisis.

Here in Malaysia, we have not one but both the PM and DPM going missing when a huge gathering happened in the heart of the capital itself.

Where was the PM? Where was the DPM? Isn't this embarrassing when the head of government is missing when the capital/country is in chaos? Obviously these leaders do not have the people's interests at heart.

They are simply too busy inflating rather than deflating the crisis. Once again, you do not need the critics to make Umno leaders look foolish, they're capable of doing that themselves.

Jedi_Who : Our PM misses the point, that Umno-BN is the mob that lies, cheats, bullies and robs others. The same mob links up with Malay rights pressure groups Pekida, Perkasa and others to preach racial and religious hatred.

The same mob has hijacked our democratic rights so that Umno can remain in power forever. This mob psychology is a bigger treat to our country than peaceful protesters.

Kentut: When a corrupt regime is losing power, they become fearful. So this is just the Umno-BN government suffering from such a phobia.

James Dean: Najib, if you can't give us two hours at Dataran Merdeka, how can we, the rakyat, give you five years?
