There is no plan currently to call for Bersih 4.0, said co-chairperson of the coalition for clean and fair elections (Bersih) Ambiga Sreenevasan.

“My side has not thought about any agenda to hold Bersih 4.0 rally,” she told Malay daily Sinar Harian .

Ambiga said Bersih has no specific plan on the issue of holding the next rally although many quarters have called on the NGO coalition to continue to demand for clean and fair elections.

“I know that (the proposal of) Bersih 4.0 is supported by many quarters, including PAS spiritual leader Nik Abdul Aziz Nik Mat, PKR and other NGOs, but there is no plan about it for the time being.”

However, Bersih will call a press conference soon to announce the coalition’s other plans, she revealed.

Both Nik Aziz and PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang have expressed readiness to support and attend the fourth Bersih rally if it is called.
