YOURSAY 'It's not about George Kent winning the contract. It is about whether Najib had attempted to award the company the contract.'

George Kent: We may or may not get LRT project

Caripasal: The question here is not about whether George Kent had won the contract or not.

It is about whether the premier had attempted to award George Kent the contract, only to back off after the scandal was exposed by PKR strategic director Rafizi Ramli.

The crime had taken place even if George Kent does not get the project.

Black Mamba: The heat is too hot for George Kent chairperson Tan Kay Hock to handle and that is the reason why he is avoiding the press.

They are likely to be middlemen who inflate prices and eventually sub-contract the job to the actual builder.

This is standard operating procedure in ‘Bolehland' and a few years down the road we will find him in the billionaires list, thanks to the great generosity of his friends in high places - but at the expense of the all-ignorant and couldn't-care-less Malaysians.

Armageddon: Tan said, "What political tussle? We're a business group, don't talk about politics, I'm not a politician."

Yes, we know you are not a politician but you may use politicians to do your business.

James1067: Caught with your pants down with documented proof as a company with no experience and rejected, now you want to sing a different tune.

Tan, if you are awarded the project, the BN would face even more backlash from the people on how the government handled their hard-earned money. Seriously, the damage has already been done.

FellowMalaysian: Tan is shooting decoys to deflect attention from the controversial award after Rafizi's revelation.

Physical work has already commenced at site. Could Najib be coaxed by the leaked news of his dirty hands manipulating the award of the contract to reverse his decision?

One thing's for sure; Rafizi will not let off the noose.

Anonymous_3e21: Najib has not spoken a word about this scandal and that is very typical of him - something that we all know too well.

What is more important here is like what Caprisal said, "The crime had taken place even if you do not get the project."

That should makes us wonder whether ‘law and order' exist in Malaysia. Are we going to close our eyes while Najib and Co destroy the country?

With the additional millions of illegal immigrants who are granted citizenship, even Umno members will have to sleep by the roadside soon.

Frankly, I think the biggest losers are the ordinary Umno members. So, who is the real traitor here - DAP or Umno-BN?

Anonymous #43051382: Tan, what do you mean - 'may or may not' be awared the Ampang LRT line extension project?

The fact is George Kent lost the tender at the first stage and should be kicked out from the project.

IloveBN: The funny thing here is that Tan can still say let's wait and see what the government is going to decide despite knowing very well that George Kent is a water meter manufacturer and is not qualified for the job due to its lack of expertise and ability to handle such projects.

Save Our Currency: A company by any other name smells as bad. Will a new tender be called?

Companies can be registered overnight for projects. But companies awarded projects must show breakdown of costs.

Projects may be divided into different jobs - filling of earth, laying base, tracking, etc. Then everyone can calculate the inflated prices for possible kickbacks.

Changeagent: Tan, I wouldn't worry at all if I were you. The fact that you have the letter of intent means that George Kent is already 95 percent certain of getting the project.

Then when you consider that Najib is also your personal friend, golf buddy and drinking mate, it means that it's a 120 percent certainty.

Odin: Tan's demeanour and response are to be expected, considering the situation. I am 99 percent certain that the contract will be given to his consortium, George Kent-Wijet-Thales.

Najib's mind is warped. He cares not an iota of what the ordinary people think of him.

Disbeliever: After all the brouhaha, Najib would probably have to withdraw the offer to George Kent.

Otherwise, with so many scandals already exposed, it would be mad to award the tender to George Kent. That's like hitting the last nail into his own coffin. Let us wait and see.

Anonymous #42402094: Tan, why wait till the letter of award to be out before making a comment?

In the first place, George Kent did not even qualify technically to participate in the tender. Something is rotten here.

Wira: I believe even if they don't get this project because of the negative exposure, rest assured that another job is coming their way to compensate them.
