YOURSAY '1Malaysia, just like any public property, belongs to the rakyat. It may have been birthed by BN, but it certainly does not belong to BN.'
Bersih frowns on flying BN-1M'sia flags
Haveagreatday: The Umnoputras have been in power for so long that they no longer understand the fact they are now no longer the government in power, but only a caretaker government.
I do not foresee them taking down the BN-1Malaysia logo flags for to them, they are still the government and have a right to use the logo. But good job, Bersih for telling them off.
Ex-Perakian: I see a 1Malaysia logo on every shirt BN candidates wear and in the billboards, buntings, etc.
If questioned, they will retort that ‘1Malaysia' is their battle cry just like ‘Ubah' for the opposition. But if BN is for 1Malaysia, then how do they explain the racist Perkasa candidates in their line-up?
Finallychangeisgoingtocome: Do you think BN gives two hoots about what Bersih thinks? Their arrogance has reached a level that it is threatening the very morality of this country.
Chks: I agree. 1Malaysia, just like any public property, belongs to the rakyat. Even if Pakatan Rakyat takes over, they may continue with the 1Malaysia concept. 1Malaysia may have been birthed by BN, but it certainly does not belong to BN.
The rakyat may give the mandate to Pakatan to run the government, and that includes promoting the 1Malaysia concept.
In fact, the close coalition of Pakatan component parties exhibiting examples of what a genuine 1Malaysia should be like.
Fantastic4: Hijacking the 1Malaysia image is consider as the 'least atrocity' they have committed.
Perhaps it's good for them to remind the rakyat how far short BN is from meeting the objectives of 1Malaysia? The rakyat can tell the difference between lips service and real practice.
Mahashitla: So much of the rakyat's money has been spent to promote the 1Malaysia logo that BN chief Najib Razak is now thinking that it belongs to the ruling coalition.
Has BN not stolen enough that they still want to make this logo their property? When Pakatan wins, this dubious logo will cease to exist.
Even BN deputy chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin does not believe in it and former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad does not understand the slogan either.
Ex-Perakian: How would the majority of voters who don't read the alternative media get the news when the mainstream media won't carry such important news like the difference between a caretaker government and a political party.
Even the civil servants themselves do not know what they can and cannot do, having been brainwashed for all these years by the same political party.
Apacerita: I just wonder whether BN takes note of Bersih blacklisting them? I think they don't even care or bother.
Sometimes I feel like taking BN banners down myself as they are hazardous to the road users, especially the motorcyclists.
They put the banners up haphazardly and I don't see the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) taking any action against them.
Heavywater: The Election Commission (EC) when it comes to BN will see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil, and everything is to be blamed on Pakatan leader Anwar Ibrahim.
PKR queries 'fishy' diversion of ballot box shipment
ChaSL: All ballot boxes and Election Commission transportation vehicles must be put under 24-hour surveillance from now on to prevent and minimise any attempt on cheating and manipulation of our votes.
There is a clear and present danger of cheating by some quarters, it must not be business as usual anymore from this general election onwards.
Anon1234: Please volunteer to be polling/barung/counting agents to keep an eye on the ballot boxes. Just go to the party you intend to support and register as a volunteer. This is very vital to reduce cheating.
Do this little bit to ensure that we have a clean and honest government. BN is desperate, so with the help of the EC, they will cheat in whatever way possible.
TehTarik: Pakatan supporters, please have your video cameras and smartphones ready for polling day. Record anything that appears suspicious. In particular, record all those suspicious looking Bangladeshis, Pakistanis and Indonesians.
Tens of thousands of these ‘instant Malaysians' will be coming out to vote. More importantly, take videos of them as they disembark from BN buses as well.
AkuMelayuIslam: No response from the Election Commission (EC). I guess it's Bersih 4.0 on May 4 then. The EC needs to reply now, the rakyat are sick of the EC's indifferent manner towards clean and fair elections.
JomUBAH: How could the federal constitution be so powerless as to let such serious infringement happen here and now? Are we totally helpless to safeguard our fundamental rights as voters and as the rakyat?
