EC staff 'made mistake by not shaking indelible ink bottle'
Onyourtoes: Please talk some sense, Election Commission secretary Kamaruddin Mohamed Baria. We are talking about indelible ink that does not last; we are not talking about those who voted on April 30 will not be allowed to vote again on May 5 because their names do not exist in the electoral roll for ordinary voters.
The whole purpose of indelible ink is to prevent voters whose names appear in different electoral rolls from voting twice.
You have to assure us that indelible ink is in fact indelible, otherwise what is the use to have that extra procedure in the voting process.
Forgive me for being suspicious. May be the indelible ink used on April 30 can be easily washed away to allow the uniformed personnel to vote again. The indelible ink used on May 5 will be indelible.
Hermit: The EC chairperson claimed that they had tested the ink many, many times. Did they shake the contents of the ink bottle thoroughly during the tests?
Obviously they would say yes, but why was this procedure not relayed to the police and military polling centres?
Abasir: A lie to cover the lie about 'indelible' ink. Lying often and lying repeatedly are key performance indicators of the regime. What is indelible is the Umno stain on the nation. No amount of the BR1M soap will wash it off.
Kit P: Perhaps the indelible ink was so secret that the instructions on how to use it, like "shake the bottle", were also secret.
Anonymous #86587973: "Who voted on April 30, 2013 cannot vote again on May 5, because their names do not exist in the electoral roll for ordinary voters," said EC secretary Kamaruddin.
This statement is not true.
Wanderer: I bet Malaysians could not remember how many "mistakes" were made by EC. This is their only line of defence - "mistakes and lies".
Caripasal: This is the root cause of people of Malaysia wanting to de-throne the BN government - corruption. They spent millions of ringgit to buy low quality products.
But the truth is that EC allows some of these early voters to vote again on May 5, thus the erasable ink.
Perhaps there are two different sets of ink, one for the early voters, and another for the general public. EC will then 'proudly' announce, "I told you so, the ink is indelible".
Amateur: What the hell? EC at first denied the ink is erasable. Now they claimed the bottle was not shaken. Next, they would give another excuse. These are all lame excuses as the regime is corrupted to the core.
Quigonbond: You think Malaysians believe you? Yes, we know there is incompetency, but when your credibility is so low, we know only too well that incompetency can be used to an advantage too.
Question for the EC now is - how to ensure those military personnel who voted will not vote again? And how many votes are we talking about?
Dark Knight: Why don't you three top fellows in the EC help to shake one another? This indelible ink is a national disaster that the EC is criminally responsible for.
No pathetic explanation now can alleviate or excuse the EC for its unmitigated failure to ensure free and fair elections.
Mahashitla: EC's little concern is looking very suspicious indeed. It is too simplistic an excuse to say that the EC officials made a mistake of not shaking ink before use, and if shaken, it can last longer.
But for how long? 24-36 hours? Enough time for many of these advanced voters to have clean fingers to use different ICs on polling day?
Pakatan Rakyat's complaint of 130,000 dubious voters in Selangor is now making sense and EC was reluctant to deal with it.
Now will EC show its sincerity and inform the armed forces chief and the inspector-general of police to order all military and police personnel, except those uniformed police personnel who are on duty to stay away from all polling centres on May 5.
This order or directive should appear on all mainstream media to prove that both security forces are not involved in any sort of electoral fraud.
The Mask: So can the EC tell us when and how often to shake? After five, 10, 15 or 20 voters. Otherwise, the next excuse will be that the officer did not shake often enough.
Milosevic: The EC can shake their heads and shake all the bottles they want. The have lost any moral capability to give a fair shake to the contending parties.
The rakyat needs to shake up the EC establishment, after giving the BN the shakes on May 5. Hopefully we will be able to shake off this dastardly regime on May 5.
In the meantime, these EC sycophants should use the ink to make clown faces on themselves and their masters.
