Gov't sponsors Perkasa, and who else? Tiga Line?

YOURSAY 'What the heck, they might as well fund sectarian violence in Malaysia so long as Umno can stay in power until the end of the world.'

Gov't funding was to help BN win, says Perkasa leader

Peacemaker: Perkasa has the full imprimatur of Umno, which has blessed it with money from the National Security Council.

That means Perkasa's antics will never ever be opposed by the Home Ministry. Is this the same PM who talks peace and harmony and reconciliation? Sounds highly hypocritical!

Multi Racial: If money from Umno is used to help BN to win, that is okay. But if it is government money, it is not acceptable and wrong. They should be returned to Treasury, with interest.

Worried Sick: Let us not forget how Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali walked to the nomination centre in GE13 (like Caesar returning after a victory against the enemies of Rome) after the BN stand-in 'graciously' gave way. (What a drama!)

We should thank the Malay majority people of the Pasir Mas constituency for rejecting this racial/religious bigot who has been doing what he has been doing with the rakyat's money.

Wouldn't anyone be shocked to know that he has been receiving government handouts? What fools we have been made into.

Gerard Lourdesamy: If Umno wants to sponsor Perkasa or the Taliban for that matter, it is their business but do not think of using government funds.

As a taxpayer, I object to the government funding any NGO with an overt or covert political agenda based on racial and religious supremacy.

If the BN government can fund Perkasa, why not extremist NGOs from the Chinese and Indian communities as well?

What the heck, they might as well fund sectarian violence in Malaysia so long as Umno can stay in power until the end of the world.

Swipenter: The open secret that Perkasa is an outsourced outfit for Umno Baru to do its racist activities is now a fact and official.

Umno Baru has to pay for Perkasa's activities centering on 'Ketuanan Melayu' doctrine, which is the core philosophy of the former.

It is clear as daylight that Umno Baru is the government of Bolehland and all the other component parties of BN are in there for show.

Not Smart: Do these people know that receiving such fund (money) is 'haram'? Do they know that the source of this money may be 'haram'?

Do they know that receiving taxpayers' money and to hit them back is 'haram'? Do they know using such money to create hatred and disharmony is 'haram'?

Look how they are fighting for the allocation of 'haram' money for 'haram' activities. They don't seem to have any more moral values and principals with the free 'haram' money coming their way.

Ah-hah!!!: The Selangor Perkasa chief is absolutely correct. Felda chief Isa Samad should have kept quiet.

After all, government funds channeled to any organistion to "help BN win the next general election" is simply wrong.

Indeed, one wonders just what the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is going to do about this admission of abuse of the rakyat's money.

The Observer: No wonder the government has no money left to run the country. All the tax money is used to fund extremist and terrorist organisations, crony companies and the leaders' extravagant lifestyles.

Lim Chong Leong: This is CBT (criminal breach of trust) - government funds are for public use and not for BN or Perkasa. MACC and Election Commission (EC), please get your act together. We are now the laughing stock of the world.

Bernard Phillips: What sick policies do we have in Malaysia? Racist NGOs and groups being funded by taxpayers to spread fear and disharmony within the country just so Umno can win elections.

What accountability, if any, do we have? I hope that the opposition will take this matter up. Surely election laws have been violated here.

Anonymous #02382443: Wow, funding to help BN win next election. We have it from the horse's mouth. Is it legal for ruling party to channel funds (people's money) to assist a party to win elections?

Oh Ya?: But of course the EC and the AG (attorney-general) will keep mum as they are also part of the ruling elites' tools to help them sustain their clinch on to power.

Tommy: As usual, our 'taiko' will keep his elegant silence and hopes it will go away soon instead of giving an explanation to the people why taxpayers' money are used to help them win the election.

Hold Awam Accountable: This gives even more credence to the allegations that Umno is behind those gangs like Tiga Line.

Anything the government can say now about not sponsoring terror and hate groups is simply not credible.
