Perkasa asks why no OIC solidarity in MH370 search
HatiPakatan: I am glad that Perkasa suddenly realised that true Muslim brotherhood is indeed a myth.
In the wake of the tsunami in Aceh, Indonesia, a rich Arab country donated US$1 million but F1 driver Michael Schumacher too donated US$1 million. The first plane that landed in Medan bringing food and medical supplies was a Christian World Vision plane.
Presently, most of the 26 foreign countries are non-Muslim countries including what Perkasa labelled as corrupt, immoral countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Australia, etc.
Perkasa must learn that not all non-Muslims are bad people and not all Muslims are good people. Perkasa should stop spewing racial and religious taunts against non-Muslim Malaysians.
Malaysia belongs to all of us, and racial and religious supremacy should be a thing of the past. Perkasa must learn to live in the real world, which is colour and faith blind.
Aries46: So far since the MH370 tragedy on March 8, no one in Malaysia or the international community has brought up issues of race or religion in the ongoing investigation and search efforts by the multinational force spearheaded by Malaysia.
In fact, the involvement or not of OIC (Organisation of Islamic Conference) or any other religious caucuses was not heard of until the late appearance on the scene by our number one bigot.
Indeed, Malaysians were happy to have kept our racist bigots at bay through the 18 days for the sake of our international image.
Ibrahim Ali must be told in no uncertain terms that none of the 26 countries that form the multinational SAR (search and rescue) team nor the 15 nations whose nationals were victims of this tragedy is interested in the role of any religious organisation in the efforts undertaken.
This is not about race or religion and obviously none of them want the likes of Ibrahim Ali to sully their solemn prayers in memory of the 239 lives who perished.
FairMind: Ibrahim Ali, Perak mufti Harussani Zakaria and professor Ridhuan Tee Abdullah should ask the government to charge these non-Muslim countries for ‘proselytising’ the families of the Muslim victims.
After all, it is similar to the church giving aid to the needy Muslims in Selangor. Moreover, the air stewardess of the airlines from these countries wear short skirts and show their ‘aurat’. Some of these organisations even have crosses in their logo.
Malaysia should refuse aid from these countries as they are up to no good and our Malays could be confused and enticed into converting into other religions.
True_Malaysian: This is what we have been saying - that race and religion has nothing to do in the global world we are now living. Somebody there is willing to help you - east or west. If not for the Americans, Malaysia may be a communist regime.
Disgusted: It is obvious when any disaster strikes the so-called Islamic countries, it is the "infidel countries" which are first to respond and help.
You will never hear of any offer of assistance from the Arab countries, and although they are flushed with money and resources, they have acted more as bystanders and were unmoved by the suffering of their fellow Muslim brethren.
Malaysia bends backward for the Arabs and the Arab countries. Our government acts as their anointed spokesman and defender and carry their torch on issues affecting the Arabs, especially on the Palestinian issue.
We also appease Arab countries by having no ties whatsoever with Israel and declaring Israel as our sworn enemy. Many Arab countries, on the other hand, have quiet trade relationships with Israel.
As the search for MH370 enters the third week, let us all remember those who have come to Malaysia's aid and never let it be forgotten that the Arab countries stood by and watched.
Doc: Hello Ibrahim Ali, this is what happens when you read Utusan Malaysia everyday. You end up being a "katak bawah tempurung" reading its cooked-up news.
The western nations and able minded souls know the OIC is famous for its ‘all talk and no action’ policy.
Currently, the heads of OIC nations are having their yearly pow wow in Kuwait City which will end with them agreeing to disagree.
As expected with the numerous problems faced by the Muslim nations - Syria, Iran, Libya, Egypt, terrorism and the Shia-Sunni conflict - one thing is for certain: nothing will come out of this OIC meeting.
Even when Libya was in flames during the uprising last year, the OIC gathered for an emergency meeting and agreed to refer the matter to the United Nations and asked the "syaitan" (satan) US to help out.
Even Egypt now when is in turmoil and there no help from OIC. So Ibrahim Ali, don't hold your breath for any form of OIC support or even acknowledgment.
Onyourtoes: This is just a way to keep Ibrahim Ali relevant and in the news, that is all.
This country is sick to the core; that is why you can see so much of discontentment among Malaysians and the international community when this tragic episode should have brought us closer as Malaysians and as one humanity.
Tan Kim Keong: To Ibrahim and the rest of his ilks: What have you learned from this demonstration of generosity and kindness from people of other races and religions?
And what have you understood regarding the common thing about humanity? All of us are created equal and special in God's eyes. So cast away your bigot mindset and remove your racist lens.
Unmasked: Ibrahim, it must be hard on you over the last two weeks. It took you that long to come out with some contribution and it had to be related to the 3Rs (race, religion and royalty).
