From second-class citizens to second-class religions

YOURSAY 'The notion that 'Islam is above other faiths' is applicable to Muslims only.'

MIC flays ex-judge for 'racist' comment on idols

Wa Beh Song: Former appellate court judge Mohd Noor Abdullah, those are Buddhist and Hindu statues, of course they are unIslamic. So what?

Killing of cows is also against Buddhist or Hindu beliefs, and so what? You really have  ‘kangkung’ brains.

D4f: What's wrong with him? I am sure no Buddhist or Hindu has ever claimed the statues are part of the teachings of Islam.

Haveagreatday: What a disgrace he brings to an already shamed institution in our nation. Freedom of worship for other religions is enshrined in our constitution.

Mohd Noor, no one is forcing you to pay respect to the objects of reverence and worship in the Hindu and Buddhist faiths. It is only a problem in a perverted and evil mind like yours.

Anonymous_3ee4: The notion that "Islam is above other faiths" is applicable to Muslims only - the idea is for you to believe in your faith and be strong.

The government can continue to build bigger mosques and try to build the biggest mosque in the world, yet the non-Muslims would never complain because it would be the pride of the country. So grow up, Mohd Noor Abdullah.

MacMac: Now even religions are degraded by this ex-judge. Isn't that seditious? Non-Malays are treated as second-class citizens of Malaysia and now their religions are also second-class compared to Islam as stated by the imbecile ex-judge.

Idiot: What this mentally insane man says is Prime Minister Najib Razak's stand. Because Najib is not saying anything in response, so you can assume it's his stand.

Therefore it clearly shows that we have a racist PM, unless Najib comes outright to discredit this man.

Rikk: All cases this moron had passed judgment on should be reviewed. Not only is he racist, he has very poor judgement and a low mentality. Only in BN's Malaysia could he have been appointed a judge.

Tholu: The only reason I can think of as to why this dimwitted backward-thinking fanatic was selected by Umno to serve the higher courts is because it wouldn’t be difficult for Umno to manipulate the judiciary with people like him in office.

Otherwise, he wouldn’t even succeed as a private lawyer. Mohd Noor, Hinduism and Buddhism (and all other religions other than Islam) are not based on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.

Therefore, how the followers of other religions choose to practice their belief systems do not come under the teachings of Islam.

In addition, you said, "...non-Muslim deities should not be built in the open, but should be placed within an enclosed building instead".

Can you please substantiate your statement with a Quranic verse, or otherwise you can be accused of starting a new religion since Islam does not recognise other religions and therefore the issue of whether a non-Muslim statue should be built indoor or outdoor does not arise.

Odin: MIC Youth chief C Sivarraajh, this person is one of the minions of your lord and master Umno Baru, whereas you in the MIC, as well as in other Indian-based parties in or supportive of the BN, are doormats of the said party.

Mohd Noor can say whatever he likes, and there is nothing you can do about it. And it isn't something new. Now, be a good doormat, shut up, and continue to let Umno Baru and all its minions step on and wipe their shoes on you.

Ferdtan: MIC, do you know Mohd Noor is Perkasa’s friend? He had spoken at their functions before. Perkasa is paid and sanctioned by your boss, Umno. So why are you so angry?

You are barking at the wrong tree. You deserve such insults as you willingly mixed with the wrong company.

Just to put it in the right context, imagine your partner in any business employed some rascals to offend you; do you still want to stay around with your offending partner to be screwed repeatedly?

MIC, we can only say, "Serve you right."

P Dev Anand Pillai: But Sivarraajh, having said this, the MIC and its entire hoard of followers still invite the head honcho of the BN to the Thaipusam festival every year, showering him with huge garlands. What does that say?

Bamboo: The right thing for MIC to do would be quitting BN. Why stay in BN and tolerate such nonsense from a so-called learned ex-judge?

Makcik Har: This country is heading towards a Taliban state. A newly converted Muslim ex-husband has assaulted a Hindu woman, and the police did not lift a finger.

Also he single handedly converted their young children to Islam. A sensible High Court judge awarded custody to the Hindu woman. Then the Muslim ex-husband snatched the children.

Shockingly 99.9 percent of the Malay population think that was the right thing to do because the mother might attempt to convert them to Hinduism.

At the same time, one Indian after another dies in police lock-ups.

Anonymous_1390562550: Shame on you, judge. Live and let live should be our policy. The Hindus you comment on are the same Indians whose bullock carts carried stone and mortar that build our early court buildings in which you presided.

The same Indians who had worked in our rubber estates, ran our trains, built our roads, worked in our ports unloading our ships, etc. Again, the same Indians whose blood and sweat helped our country prosper so that we now have a good life.

I am a Muslim and I’ll say it again - shame on you, judge, shame on you.
