YOURSAY ‘Zul, do not insult the memory of Karpal by referring him as ‘my friend’.”

Zul's twist from 'Allah killed him' to 'Goodbye friend'

Ferdtan: Islam needs no enemy if they have a Muslim like Zulkifli Noordin who is so callous to make such wicked remark at this juncture even before Karpal Singh is laid to rest.

It is so un-Islamic. Furthermore, he is an expert in Islamic laws, a syariah lawyer.

We would like the ulamas, from both sides of the political fence, to clarify whether what Zul had said is in according to the teaching of the religion (that Allah would take a life, any life - not necessary Karpal’s - as that person had supposedly earned His wrath).

Before Zul prays each day, didn’t he recite before each ‘sura’ (chapter) of the Quran “In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful". As a non-Muslim, I know that God is merciful.

Can Zulkifli as a Muslim speaks in the name of Allah to justify an accident that took not a life but two, including Karpal’s personal aide?

Has Zul committed blasphemy? If Zul has his twisted wish, or power to foresee our Creator’s wrath, we would have seen United States disappear from the face of the earth as they are the greatest opponent of the Muslim states around the world.

Awakened: Zul, you are a real hypocrite. Your first tweet showed your true nature - a heartless person without compassion and sense of righteousness.

Your second tweet is insincere. Your U-turn came only after numerous severed criticism of your first tweet. You appeared to be so "Islamic" by supporting hudud and is willing to condemn a dead person who has contributed so much to Malaysia, both legally and politically.

You have done a great disservice to Islam with your hypocrisy. I wonder why PM Najib Razak has chosen you and the Langkawi MP Nawawi Ahmad as candidates in the last election.

Will the demise of Karpal send Malaysia into dark ages or awaken more ‘Karpals’ so that our constitution and rule of law will be upheld and seen to be upheld?

Anonymous_1397678952: Zul's behaviour is to be expected. He has no class and no respect for the dead. He is dishonourable. Muslims should reject his statement and him.

Karpal was and is an icon. He championed the cause of democracy and the rule of law. He was consistent, courageous and tenacious.

His paralysis did not affect his stamina and his persistence. He was a giant amongst men. Indeed, he strode the world like a colossus.

Onyourtoes: Let's go down to their level: there are so many airlines and so many flights a day, why do you think God has chosen Malaysian Airlines (MAS)?

May be it is due to leaders of this country who have become too depraved and sinful - yes, it is God's wrath to an unrepentant and hypocritical nation.

Langkawi MP Nawawi has also said the same thing. These are no ordinary simple people - these are Umno-nominated candidates for GE.

This is what we are as a nation now. We have nurtured and inculcated decent and innocent people into monsters led by depraved and wicked individuals who are crazy for power, fame and money.

I think even the god we believe in could no longer tolerate the hypocrisy and depravity of politicians now manifesting radiantly in this country.

What a stupid and moronic country - a country that talks about god, faith, religion and morality every second when god is furthest away from us all. If these people have known even a single attribute of god, they would not have made all these stupid remarks.

Too Lan: Zul, do not insult the memory of Karpal by referring him as “my friend”. Karpal would not befriend a scum like you. You are giving your religion a bad name.

Sadhu3: Zul suggested that Allah will kill people who do not agreed with his teaching. Is this Islamic? Does the other Islam agree to this? What does the MP of Langkawi have to said about this?

NoBN4me: Zul, even when you tried to redeem yourself, you sounded sarcastic. Your goatie and scullcap does not impress anyone that you are a good Muslim.

J Ng: Zulkifli is a total disgrace to both Muslims and his race. He truly showed his opportunistic and hypocritical character.

He clearly and openly depicted his spineless and untrustworthy character by changing his views and opinions within the same day.

Hopefully, Allah will bless his family not to inherit his serpentine character. He is beyond redemption. Only Allah can save him.

Absalom: Zul, it’s too little too late. Everybody has seen what an insensitive, callous human you are.

And all others who have bad-mouthed the dead man who was revered by so many people, you all have just opened the floodgates.

You are going to see similar very tasteless insensitive behaviour reciprocated many times over on certain other leaders when their time is due and you can take all the credit for that.

Aries46: Most Malaysians do not know much of what hudud is all about and the involvement of discards like Zulkifli to its cause adds on to its negative perspective.

For a long time now Umno-BN outfits have bandied about hudud more to frighten non-Malays away from PAS, as if hudud is some form of an extreme Islamic tool that threatens non-Muslim rights.

Contrary to Zul’s ill-conceived claims, neither Umno nor the Malays have thus far shown enthusiasm per se for hudud. And Karpal’s objection to hudud was no different from that of Umno, MCA, Gerakan and other BN parties.

Therefore Zul’s slanderous outburst is unwarranted and a huge injustice to the departed national icon and his grieving family that has barely laid him to rest. It is also an insult to his so-called Islamic credentials.

Unlike Umno-BN that uses the hudud to scare the living, satanic incarnations like Zul have an added flavour in that it is also a tool to demonise the dead.

Oracle: First he gloats over the death of a Malaysian patriot (for Karpal was certainly that) by displaying for all to see the intrinsic evil, the cultural bankruptcy and the sheer meanness of an Umno "hero", and then, always the opportunist, realising that it was a great political mistake after being walloped by ordinary citizens cutting across racial lines, he shamelessly does an extraordinary u-turn calling Karpal a "fighter against injustice"!

But so devoid is he of basic morality that he then seizes on a perceived political opportunity to urge the public not to "politicise the issue".

Mytwosensworth: I doubt that such imprudent and cruel thoughts are reflective of the Islamic teachings. Have more of such people, we will be heading into the dark ages of the past.

Kangkung: Had this remark was made by a non-Muslim towards a Umno leader, the Umno police would have launched a special team to investigate, masked police commandos bearing assault weapons would be sent, and computers, laptops, tablets would have been confiscated.
