Hasan ailed by maladies he ascribes to Anwar

YOURSAY ‘So I’d advise Hasan to really look into the mirror.’

'Wife as MB' unmasks Anwar's lust for power

Tholu: Notice how foxy former PAS leader Hasan Ali is? He has scant credible analytical thinking capabilities of his own and resorts to using other people’s views to launch attacks on Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim and PKR.

Phrases such as “for some...”; “...there were those who viewed...”;  “...there were also those who opined...” and "those who hold this view...” that he uses to put Anwar and PKR in a bad light are indicative of his lack of aptitude in analysing facts and deriving convincing conclusions of his own.

He has actually surmised his disparaging opinion of Anwar by gathering negative reports against Anwar.

The fact that he condemned Khalid Samad for suggesting curtailing the powers of Selangor Islamic Council (Mais) only after the sultan himself rebuked Khalid two weeks after the Shah Alam MP made the proposal goes to show that this imbecile needs outside stimulus to get agitated.

He is devoid of any intelligence to think and analyse facts on his own. This man is nothing but a jealous, vengeful and nefarious person.

Aries46: Hasan knows what he is talking about as he himself was rejected for the same reason - greed for power.

Hasan tried to be the champion of race and religion hoping that he will be noticed by the head of state and elevated. But he apparently over did it in his haste for power thereby earning the wrath of many.

Anyway there is no reason for Hasan to belly ache on such historical outcome for Selangor. After all, PKR president Wan Azizah Wan Ismail is about to make history and Hasan as an ex-exco member must be proud.

Hasan, which top notch leader has not concentrated power within his family circles?

Waktamnoko: Wan Azizah won the Kajang by-election and is a legally elected assemblyperson. She has as much right as anybody else to be the MB if she commands the support of the majority in the Dewan. So what is Hasan talking about?

Didn't Hasan too want the MB post when he was the assemblyperson? He failed as he did not have the support needed to get the job.

Additionally he was not that smart as a politician. He backstabbed his own party and was sacked. Although he tried to endear himself to Umno, they too would not even touch him with a 10-foot pole.

So I’d advise Hasan to really look into the mirror. Hopefully he will not see a simpleton in it.

Malaccan: Somehow what Hasan says on this matter, and in many others, is tinged with a heavy hint of jealousy and a large dose of untruthfulness.

He was so impatiently ambitious while leading PAS in Selangor that he ran to Umno to work out a deal to be MB, disregarding his own partners. And now he has the gall and the cheek to claim others are ambitious.

It is obviously clear Hasan is afflicted by the maladies he ascribes to Anwar. What he seems to see and hate in Anwar is a reflection of what he really is. He cares not that people can see through him, because he has nothing to lose.

He has no credibility, following or support. His admirers are from the rival of the party he once led, and for whom he has acquired undying admiration for now.

To say he is a political frog would be to say something already obvious. He has no impact and has thus far been ignored by Umno who prefers Perkasa’s Ibrahim Ali or Isma’s Abdullah Zaik Abdul Rahman instead.

At least these two could croak like a frog. All Hasan could manage was a squeak.

Imissthegoodolddays: The time has finally come for us to see the true colours of Anwar. I seriously had enough of his 'drama'.

Come on, putting his wife in a position of power? How can he be that low? Seriously, this has got to stop. He is trying to push his way through with all his might, but sadly, that is just ridiculous.

Fernz: DAP and PAS have already agreed that PKR would have the MB's post. Having agreed on that, PKR has only to inform them as a matter of courtesy that it intends to change the MB.

DAP and PAS have no say in the matter of who becomes MB from PKR. That's an internal matter for PKR to decide.

Onepen: Just thinking aloud. When one enters politics what is one's goal? To serve, right? How do you serve if you are at a level when you do not have power?

Look at Mahathir Mohamad, Ling Liong Sik and S Samy Vellu. Politics is all about power and influence to do good. If they lose the desire to acquire power, they are not fit to be politicians.

EmLaw: Hasan, in my opinion, Anwar has come a long way since Mahathir's time.

If he wanted to "enjoy a rich and powerful" life, he would have done so during those days and not get himself into all the trials and tribulations. All he needed to do was be a ‘yesman’.

It's very easy for us to pass untoward comments and be judgmental of Anwar. I am moved, have high respect and in awe at the tenacity he has in pursuing what he believes in.

This is a man who has been ridiculed, physical beaten, mentally abused and endured wave after wave of challenges.

When you have experienced that and can still stand tall to pursue your beliefs, then only can you qualify to pass judgment and use your choice words of madness, greed and desperation in describing Anwar.
