Transparency International-Malaysia (TI-M) has welcomed Sarawak Chief Minister, Adenan Satem’s stern move to combat and resolve pervasive corruption in the timber industry of the state.

Commending Adenan's assurance on putting an end to the issuance of timber licences, TI-M president Akhbar Satar said in a statement today that this was timely, given the “gravity of the de-forestation in Sarawak”.
