PPP leader issues school dare to 'insane' Kit Siang

A PPP leader has launched a vitriolic salvo against DAP veteran Lim Kit Siang and threw him a challenge.
Party information chief A Chandrakumanan dared the Ipoh Timor MP to reveal which schools Pakatan Rakyat lawmakers send their children to.
"I thought he is old but he has become insane and pathetic," he said
"I believe there is no issues to attack the prime minister so this DAP advisor is picking on something which has got no bearing to hold on," he added in a statement.
Chandrakumanan was responding to Lim who asked if Najib would urge all 34 Umno/BN ministers who send their children to private or international schools to resign for their lack of confidence in the national education policy and system.
The opposition stalwart's remark came in the wake of former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad questioning why many cabinet ministers send their children to private or international schools.
However, Chandrakumanan made no reference to Mahathir.
The rich can afford it
Continuing his attack on Lim, the PPP leader said the veteran politician should focus and debate on issues that would benefit the people.
"No one wants to know where anyone sends their children for education as this is a private matter. Why is he so concerned where ministers send their children for education," he added.
Describing it as an "individual matter", Chandrakuman said the rich would send their children to private schools because the timing is different compared to national schools.
"It is the same anywhere in the world, if you got money you can send your children to a private school, therefore in Malaysia too, it is up to the parents.
"There is no mandatory requirement to say that Malaysians must send their children into the national education system," he added.
Chandrakumanan said Lim should be more focused and not ask the prime minister to waste time on irrelevant matters.
"My advice to Lim, since opposition MPs have got more time to waste, they should go down to their constituencies and look into the people's problems," he added.
Responding to Mahathir, Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today he and many of his cabinet colleagues, including Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, send their children to national schools.
