Why ex-minister not arrested for ‘blowjob’?

YOURSAY ‘I and my wife too have committed the offence under Section 377A.’

Enough is enough, Shafee

Ferdtan: Just to mention some of the best points made by lawyer Americk Sidhu to add to my remarks:

Quote: “Many question the reason why (prosecutor Muhammad) Shafee (Abdullah) feels he needs to embellish and justify the findings made by the Federal Court. Why do they think the decision of the Federal Court needs to be explained to all and sundry in pornographic detail?”

Why? Of course, it is because nobody truly believes in the guilty verdict. So there must be a campaign to sway the opinions of the people by whatever means, even to the extend of making it an X-rated show.

Quote: “Can someone like me, the ordinary man in the street, be forgiven for thinking that Shafee’s behaviour is politically motivated and carried out at the behest of the Umno government to propagate the notion that the opposition leader is a hardened criminal and is therefore, totally unsuited to potentially leading this country forever?”

Wasn’t that the whole idea of putting Anwar in jail in the first place? So it is deemed politics by putting him in jail and not Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan, the dubious complainer, who swore that he was raped by an old man with a bad back, but the attorney-general (AG) and confirmed by the ‘learned’ appellate courts seemed to know more than the victim himself, differed to say it was consensus?

Now tell us who is the one who allegedly got raped? Saiful or the AG/the courts?

Apa Ini?: Plainly spoken in the best of tradition. Even Shafee and Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin must recognise plain truth in this article by Americk, and be ashamed. But alas, shame is not within their vocabulary range or comprehension.

Basically: I think Americk has rated Shafee's courtroom performance too highly. A look at the reports during the trial showed he was pushing a lame argument.

And his parade with Khairy only shows his Umno links, hence he had absolutely no business representing the prosecution. That itself is highly questionable.

If anything, Shafee's behaviour only vindicates those who claim the case is politically motivated.

Desperate for Change: ‘Basically’, I think Americk was not praising Shafee. He was being sarcastic.

Vijay47: In addition to being a fearless lawyer committed to the dying cause of justice in Malaysia, Americk reveals through this article what a brilliant writer he is.

This piece reflects the in-depth analysis that he has given to the narcissistic hypocritical conduct of two shameless persons who were admired by another equally shameless being.

In inviting Shafee and his partner Khairy to swear that they had not transgressed section 377A, Americk was indeed kind when almost the entire Penal Code would have been equally applicable.

It was a pleasure reading your essay, Sir, with its simplicity and occasional subtle touch of wit. Perhaps Shafee and Khairy would now stop their latest job of blowing their trumpets.

Hello: Section 377(A) offences include "blowjob" as stated by Americk. I wonder why nothing was done in the case of the former minister who was caught on video that explicitly showed he was having a “blowjob” and which he even admitted he was the one in the video.

So is it prosecution or persecution in the case of Anwar?

Tholu: So Shafee is not a brilliant lawyer after all, having so vengefully drained his gray matter to the last cell and having exhausted the last bit of his energy in securing Anwar's conviction while he himself could probably have transgressed the very crime he was hooking Anwar to.

(I leave it to the imagination of the readers as to the probability of the transgression just as I cannot say for certain that he transgressed the said section).

And to Khairy, congratulations for endorsing yourself to having never indulged yourself in a crime as promulgated in Section 377A.

BAC: This is the best article I've read so far regarding the two moral-less being. If only there is an instrument/method that can measure a person's degree of shamelessness, no doubt these two will top the chart.

SteveOh: Yes, great job, Americk. They can't be more stupid than win a legal case and going on a roadshow blowing their own trumpets and disparaging their opponents. Most unethical and disgraceful, not to mention unbecoming of a lawyer and government minister.

The perpetrator has brought dishonour to the legal profession and the government minister has demeaned the office he holds. They should be the last people to preach to anyone about morals. Shame. Shame. Shame.

Sign the John Malott petition to free Anwar. More signatures are needed to reach 100,000. Do it for justice.

Vgeorgemy: Sir, if they have any belief in their religious dogma, they wouldn’t have gone for a roadshow to explain in pornographic details of the sodomy. It is against Islamic teaching and public decency.

Axolotl: You are a rare gem indeed, Americk. A brilliant lawyer who stands up and speaks out on behalf of justice, decency, truth, integrity, and nobility of spirit. Thank you!

YM Lee: I am still befuddled as to why these two personages did what they did. Besides the moral and ethical questions, it was just downright silly. Even if meant to merely please the boss, it would do the boss more harm.

JD Lovrenciear: When politicians and professionals don a saint's hood and parade the streets with their imaginary halo circling their crowns, you know that democracy is dead and regimes are reigning.

Gerard Lourdesamy: A brilliant exposition by Americk. The protagonists ought to take heed of his advice and go clean their own sexual closets before imparting their morality to the rest of us whom we all admit are sinners and probably offenders under section 377A of the Code.

Longyan Ren: I admit, and confess, that I and my wife had on some occasions in our married life commit the said offence under Section 377A of the Penal Code.

Please come and arrest me and sentence me to five years’ imprisonment.
