YOURSAY ‘Just like Umno creates a siege mentality, Hadi demonises DAP.’

You decide - PAS loyalists or DAP sympathisers?

Kim Quek: PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang, making DAP the bogeyman as your main strategy to sweep the coming party elections is low class, and unbefitting your revered status as the party’s supreme leader.

You should instead talk about how you would bring reforms to save the country from the present chaos, regression and corruption.

In this connection, you would do much greater justice not only to your party hierarchy but to Pakatan Rakyat as well, if you would just answer honestly a few key questions.

To start with, do you support the political alliance of Pakatan? If you do, do you still subscribe to its common policy platform and its modus operandi of consensus?

If you do, why you made strident criticism to deride PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Azizah, rescinded the collective decision your central committee made, and betrayed the consensus reached by Pakatan on the Selangor menteri besar issue?

Why did you breach your promise made during Pakatan’s leadership council meeting on the issue of hudud?

Knowing that toppling the Umno regime is Pakatan’s top objective, why did you make the false claim that both Anwar Ibrahim and the late Nik Aziz Nik Mat also supported a unity government with Umno, if you are not personally in favour of such a unity government?

Can you honestly tell your party members now which you favour more: forming a unity government with Umno-BN or working together with Pakatan to capture Putrajaya?

If it’s the latter, how do you propose to mend ties and regain the trust of Pakatan after your recent misconduct as a partner of the alliance?

Jiminy Qrikert: '...Umno culture in PAS, adopting Umno mode of politics...' political analyst Bridget Welsh is right . Hadi needs to make DAP the bogeyman in order to win his battles.

Just like Umno creates a siege mentality in the Malays, Hadi demonises DAP to strike fear into PAS members who are by chance, just purely by chance, Malays.

And it so happens that Umno and PAS by chance, purely by chance, are Malay parties that desperately need to convince their Malay members that DAP is a Chinese chauvinist party they need to suppress in order for them to unite, to win, to succeed, to be great.

And by chance, purely by chance, Hadi and his team of mad mullahs will win because they speak the truth not because they are playing the race card - just like Umno.

If the best Hadi has to offer PAS is to make DAP the bogeyman in order to win his battles, then all of PAS must recognise that this is a man devoid of the intelligence, the honour, the integrity and the competence that is needed to be a real leader capable of taking the party forward.

Hadi is bankrupt of every quality of a true leader. He is a treacherous lying Malay supremacist who is desperately dependent on lies, deceit, and playing the racial card in order to achieve his own selfish personal agenda.

Tholu: Bravo DAP. Never before in the history of PAS, had a political party split PAS into two different and opposing ideological groups, not even the conniving Umno.

This is a clear signal to PAS members to either flow with the progressives and sustain itself or be buried in oblivion with the obstinate conservatives who are not amenable to modern practical philosophies.

Anonymous_1391570393: To place DAP at the centre stage of PAS' internal dispute is unthinkable. PAS leaders are fighting one another, yet DAP is being blamed.

PAS members must be brave enough to admit that we have only ourselves to blame for the party's ills, nobody else. So long as we keep on blaming others, not looking inwardly for our ills, there will be no cure in sight.

If PAS collapses, the members from top to bottom are fully responsible. If PAS is looking for escapism, even if the party opts out of Pakatan, the ills infecting the party will not go away.

Kilgore: Hadi is nothing but a malignant tumour to the Pakatan coalition. Either PAS treats the cancer locally, or the entire limb will need to be amputated.

CQ Muar: Hadi, you may appear ‘saintly’ and ‘holier than thou’, but in actual fact you're a wolf in sheep skin, a renegade.

Despite all you've been through with Pakatan in the past, you created havoc with your hudud ambition. Hope you'll realise your dream scheming with Umno, and be made a minister in charge of religious affairs.

Undoubtedly, you certainly live up to your reputation as someone who "runs with the hare and hunt with the hounds." A real hypocrite.

Voice: I've no idea how PAS vice-president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man is going to think about what Hadi said.

Is he going to reprimand his president for unnecessarily attacking DAP, which may give more ammunition for Umno to attack Pakatan?

Or is Tuan Ibrahim also yet another yes-man of Hadi. Or perhaps PAS as a whole is like that.

Shanandoah: Hadi, without DAP support, you can forget about being in politics in multi-racial and multi-religious Malaysia. You deceived DAP and cheated the Malays in both PAS and PKR.

You are asking for unity government with the Umno Baru ‘devils’ and forget about your partners in Pakatan. Is this what your religion teaches you? You are nothing but a hypocrite of the highest order.

Anonymous #43385867: I think Hadi is wrong. The party election is not a contest between PAS loyalists and DAP sympathisers, but a contest between PAS supported by Umno and PAS supported by Pakatan.

If delegates pick Umno's puppets, PAS is finished
