MAHB to install more walkalators at KLIA2

Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) will increase the number of new walkalators installations at KLIA2 to 25 units, more than originally planned, thus bringing the total number to 41 units.

“We had announced in 2014 that we will be installing an additional 16 units. Nevertheless, based on customer feedback, we have decided to increase it to 25 units,” said the airport operator in a statement in Kuala Lumpur today.

MAHB has already installed 16 walkalators.

“We hope that with the coming installation of new walkalators, it will address the comments that we have received on the walking distance at KLIA2. It will also enable the passengers to have more convenient travelling experience,” said MAHB.

Meanwhile, its buggy service will continue to run as normal.

At present, there are 15 buggies in full service and MAHB will be bringing in eight more by this year to add to the convenience, especially for the elderly and passengers with restricted mobility.

In addition, MAHB is continuously improving its signs and services rendered to the passengers.

One of which is the placement of its CARE Ambassadors (mobile hospitality officers) in and around the terminal to provide passengers with way finding and on-site customer service.
