1MDB ikan bilis caught, what about big fish?

YOURSAY ‘Aren't they supposed to go after big-ocean tunas and garoupas?’

Despatch rider detained over 1MDB probe

FellowMalaysian: From executive directors now to despatch boy. The Special Task Force's catch within days has dwindled from seabass to ikan bilis. Aren't they supposed to go after big-ocean tunas and garoupas? Wrong tactics. Change direction.

Justice Pao: The five 'small ikan bilis' being remanded so far are not known to most of us while the top guns in 1MDB, or their associated companies involved in the scandals, are not questioned or remanded, with some even going mysteriously missing or can’t be located.

Dom Pit : Congratulations... they finally caught the mastermind.

Ryuujunri: Let’s guess who is next. The cleaner who overheard a supposed confidential conversation or the security guard who was on duty during the night the alleged transaction was made?

Ericlcc: My goodness, a RM42 billion scandal and that's the best the MACC can come up with - a despatch rider? I wonder when those Indonesian office contract cleaners will also be hauled up.

RM2.6BILLION IN MBANK: Must congratulate MACC for a job well done. They really are so meticulous that they can spot a microbe, while the Great White is invisible to them.

The Great White is swimming shamelessly in front of them everyday. Most probably they pretend not to see it, while the microbe, probably miles away, they could spot it. Well done MACC. You make us very proud.

Kheng: Did he bank in the money to the wrong account intentionally to implicate our PM?

Malaysia-boho-leh: He must have stolen the US$700 million. His motorbike looks so new, you know.

Aja1949: Suddenly, the RM2 million cash in bank story disappears from the picture and instead a despatch rider story replaces it. A very good move indeed. Next?

Hang Babeuf: "Yes, the dispatch rider did it." The butler has retired.

SemoLina: I am not laughing. This despatch rider could be the innocent link to some of the major players involved in this mega fraud. That's my hunch.

Justice Pao: The despatch rider is the mastermind. He was working undercover as a despatch rider and instead of transferring the documents and the hard disks to a safe house, he exchanged the items with dummy copies, stole the originals and sold them to the highest bidder.

He is a threat to national security as he could be working with the CIA or DSAI or Dr M - especially enemies of Najib and Umno. He probably looks a bit like Tom Cruise, maybe more handsome, and what he carried out will make ‘Mission Impossible - Rogue Nation’ seem like child’s play and make Malaysia a rogue nation.

NNFC: Oh yeah! How many millions did he run off with? I hope the government will remand those with the stolen money first.

Speaking sense: Some woman gets blown up, blame it on a couple of policemen with no motives; someone steals RM42 billion, go after the despatch rider.

Fair Play: Wow! So the food chain (or the crime chain) appears to begin with the despatch rider. Now, there are two ways they can pursue the audit trail, either upward or downward.

More likely than not, downward. So, who are next on the list? The security guards, tea lady, the janitor, the office cleaners, etc? Soon enough, the money trail might stop dead, right in its tracks, when these people are rounded up. Case closed?

Mk: How about the big elephants in the room?

Justine Gow: If I remember correctly, they have 10 people on the list of those to be remanded. A few directors and now the fifth one is a dispatch rider. Are they running out of directors to arrest? It looks like they are getting desperate. I am not sure who the next five will be, but I am certain of who they will not be.

Apache: Wow this drama is going to be the box office hit next year and sure to win the best actor, supporting actors, best actress, best story line, best innovative idea in the Academy Awards.

The despatch boy is caught for working as an MI5 agent for Clare Rewcastle-Brown. Next, they are going to catch the toilet cleaners for flushing secret documents into the toilet bowl, catch the IWK sewerage workers working for the Israelis and piecing together the flushed documents from the septic tanks, and makcik vendors by the roadside, for wrapping their nasi lemak in the secret documents.

Impressive story line. Even Steven Spielberg will have difficulty in coming up with such fantastic ideas.

Raja Chulan: More than RM42 billion is involved and almost half of that amount remains unaccounted for at 1MDB. Also, some RM 2.6 billion have been clearly and illegally transferred into accounts of individuals. The task force comprising four of the most powerful national institutions entrusted with our law and order could only remand, among others, a despatch clerk thus far?

Where is the logic and the priority of this investigation? Have they lost their sense of direction in the whole matter or are they up to something to cover up for their masters? Looking at this, we can all second guess the outcome of this charade by the authorities concerned.

Rick Teo: The task force members don't seem to know what they are doing. RM2.6 billion is missing and they go arrest a despatch boy.

The big elephant in the room seems to have evaded them. Just ask Najib whether RM2.6 billion went into his account and we could solve the whole mystery.

Boiling Mud: Aren't we impressed by this show of courage by MACC to detain all these small fries. Where are the VVIP culprits?

My Opinion: Why not? If a university dropout like Saiful Bukhari or a bankrupt like Lester Melanyi can be used, why not a despatch rider?

Laksaksa: Wow, the special task force is really moving now. Syabas dan tahniah, MACC. That is why all you keyboard warriors should just keep calm, watch your Lester Melanyi videos, and let the authorities continue with their investigations.

James TCLow: A despatch rider? What can a poorly educated despatch rider do in a multi-billion-ringgit scandal? Well, will a garbage collector be the next to be remanded?

Baiyuensheng: Either they are very efficient or that the whole investigation is just another ‘ wayang ’ (show). From the looks of it, none of the big fish are being called.

Doc: America has Ethan Hawke from ‘Mission Impossible’ and MI5 has James Bond, but Malaysia has Mat Bond; daytime dispatch rider, night time super spy.

Malaysiawatch4.blogspot: This is smaller than ikan bilis - this is plankton.
