Two police inspectors were arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) for allegedly receiving bribes of RM3,500 from the public.

Confirming this today, Seremban District Police Chief ACP Muhamad Zaki Harun said MACC contacted him yesterday to inform of the arrest of his two officers.

“They are detained by MACC for allegedly accepting bribes in the case being investigated.

“I will cooperate fully with MACC if required,” he told reporters in Seremban.

Two police personnel, aged 26 and 28 years, were arrested by MACC yesterday at 6.10pm at Terminal 1 in Seremban.

The case is being investigated under Section 17A of the MACC Act 2009.
