T’ganu civil servants to receive RM500 bonus

Terengganu state civil servants will receive a bonus of RM500 and the payment will be made before the end of next month, said Menteri Besar Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman.

He said the state government had allocated RM6 million for the bonus payment to its more than 12,000 civil servants.

He told this to reporters after tabling the 2016 state budget in the state legislative assembly today.

The state government, he said, allocated RM1.9 million for bonus payment to more than 3,700 Kafa and Quran teachers in Terengganu.

The Kafa and Quran teachers would also receive bonus of RM500, like last year, he added.

Meanwhile, in the speech when tabling the budget 2016, Ahmad Razif said the state government was allocating RM2.103 billion to enhance the well-being of the people in the state.

It would be spent on addressing critical issues, like housing problem and poverty, as well as for entrepreneur development, sport, education, agriculture and tourism, he added.

He said the state government was allocating RM2.5 million to be given out as loans for young people and those working from home to carry out online business.

To meet the high demand for house ownership, the government planned to build 20,000 houses, he added.

He said Perbadanan Perumahan Rakyat 1Malaysia (PR1MA) and Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) would built 5,000 houses each, while the remaining 10,000 would be built by the state government.
