Ridhuan, why go to a country you want to wage war with?

YOURSAY | ‘You reap what you sow. But now you are crying foul?’

'Photographed and fingerprinted, I was treated like a terrorist'

Commentable: Controversial academician Prof Mohd Ridhuan Tee Abdullah wanted to enter Singapore with expectations to be treated as an ordinary man, but was banned and removed from the country on the assumption that he is no better than the notorious Osama bin Laden from Afghanistan.

Soon it will dawn on him that there will be very limited number of countries which are willing to allow him entry.

As the saying goes - you reap what you sow. But now you are crying foul?

We've been told that where a foreigner is denied entry into Singapore, the person would be issued a written statement which lists the reason for the ban. Care to share that written statement with all of us by posting it online?

Anonymous 560221439180274: Ridhuan, most liberal-minded Malaysians actually treat you like a terrorist except the government, which is reluctant to arrest you.

It goes to show that your intellectual writings are "favourably" read by the authorities south of the border. This is a very clear indication they do not want you to corrupt the minds of Singaporeans.

Asitis: "The only resolution to the dispute over the island is to wage war," Ridhuan had written then.

With a comment like that, of course, he is treated like a terrorist.

FellowMalaysian: Instead of getting peeved and piqued over his brusque and unceremonious treatment by the Singaporean immigration at Woodlands, which Ridhuan might have felt, he should perhaps treat this humbling episode as a life lesson over the shortcomings and oversights of his past actions and behaviour.

Seldom will a miscreant admit his past mistakes or wrongdoings, especially a recalcitrant like Ridhuan who deserve no compassion for being turned away as a result of his despicable and obnoxious past in inciting racially-charged issues.

Perhaps it is God's message sent to him telling him it’s time for repentance and to respect people of other faiths and religions.

Anonymous #12566075: Ridhuan, your day has come. You are indeed a terrorist though you are holding a pen not gun in the eye of Singaporean authorities.

You deserve to be banned from entering Singapore as you may spread racial hatred.

Anonymous_4056: This is a piece of good news that comes once in a blue moon. In fact, the United Nations should declare him persona non grata internationally.

Hibiscus: Ridhuan is not a man of peace. He does not believe in treating all with equal respect and dignity. He believes in using power to bully the weak into submission.

He sows hatred wherever he goes, upsetting peace-loving people with his self-righteous condescending attitude. He is a kill joy.

Odin Tajué: I will be very blunt, Ridhuan. You are worse than a terrorist. You are even prepared to denigrate your own race, and thus your parents, and those before them.

Singapore does not welcome evil-minded individuals like you. You should consider yourself lucky that Singapore has been civilised enough to not have treated you like Malaysia did the two ABC journalists recently.

Now go join your like-minded fellow people - those in the IS.

Headhunter: As far as Singapore is concerned, Tee is a verbal terrorist. He deserves to get such treatment. Sorry, don't expect any sympathy from decent Malaysians.

Mojo Jojo: It's alright, Ridhuan. I'm sure Sudan and Somalia will welcome someone of your esteem caliber and irreplaceable talents in teaching them what ‘ketuanan’ and ultra-kiasuism is.

By the way, why aren't you calling Singapore an ultra-kiasu country after they 'mistreated' you for your call for warfare several years ago?

Jaycee: This man is another equivalent of Donald Trump. Spewing racial rhetoric and causing of kinds of problems here.

If he has his way, he probably would want to build a wall down south and make Singapore pay for it.

Hang Babeuf: So I am not the only one who thinks that the Singapore authorities “did not get it entirely wrong” here.

Oh Ya?: What's the problem? Sarawak also has an entry ban on him, isn't it?

He is lucky he is in kangkung land which has legalised apartheid and the sedition laws are reserved for the minority only. He would have been jailed a long time ago if he had sown racial and religious hatred in Singapore.

Blue Forest: Sarawak banned you. Singapore banned you. Trying visiting Australia and see what will happen to you...

Rojak: Whether it's Singaporeans or Malaysians, I find all this travel banning excessive.

The only good thing that might come out of this is that a few of the authorities who routinely prevent people travelling out of - or even within - their own countries without giving clear explanations about genuine security risks might just start to reconsider. But probably not.
