YOURSAY | ‘He let the reputation of the nation to be dragged through the mud.”
Truth emerges, slanderers owe Najib apology, says Salleh
Quigonbond:
Malaysians have already quite rightly smelled the rat. If PM Najib Razak has the facts that show it is nothing more than a mere donation, he would have come out clean on it right from the start instead of letting this drag on, dragging our ringgit down, dragging the enforcement agencies through mud, and unnecessarily making a lot of people angry.
He wouldn't have needed to sack the attorney-general, attempted to transfer investigation officers, or sack his deputy. No one would have gone through that kind of pain, just so that he has the time to cook up a story and influence people to his side.
The story just doesn’t add up, hence if anyone says Najib is vindicated, that's just bullocks.
Odin Tajué: Communications and Multimedia Minister Salleh Said Keruak, a quick check showed that at the very least 20 non-Malaysian media entities have published stories about the scandal.
Most of these are big organisations. All have slandered Najib. None is likely to apologise. The Wall Street Journal certainly will not.
When a party has slandered you but refuses to apologise to you, you take him to court. Najib is a Bugis warrior brave and relentless in his fight against all odds. He does not ever surrender. He himself has said so. So get him to sue all those slanderers.
Since he is innocent of all the charges made against him, of all the aspersions cast on his squeaky-clean image, he is sure to win all his suits.
Just imagine the amount he will earn in compensation. Man alive! He will be even richer than the richest man in this world - whom I believe is Bill Gates. Wotcha waitin' fer, then, mate?
Anonymous 122461436161429: Either Keruak is stupid or I am. And it is not me.
The documents show jewellery, cars, clothes, Chanel goods, holidays were all bought by the PM and his family at the rakyat’s expense, and this man says we owe the PM an apology? Go fly kites.
Ethnicmalaysian: My Dearest Prime Minister, I wish to offer my sincerest apologies for the following:
1. For accusing you of theft and embezzlement after being allegedly caught with your hand in the till.
2. For believing the mounting and irrefutable evidence of the abovementioned theft and embezzlement.
3. For thinking that you've abused your power and position after you've sacked the AG (who was allegedly about to charge you) and subverted the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) as well as a host of other abusive measures.
4. For being convinced that you and your cohorts have perpetrated what is perhaps the largest scams in the history of kleptocracy in the world.
5. For thinking that you've abused public funds (for example, Retirement Fund Inc, KWAP, through SRC International) to 'buy' the GE13 in clear contravention of Election Commission rules.
6. For thinking that you've jeopardised the sovereignty of the nation by willingly accepting so called donations from foreign parties.
For all of the above, my deepest and sincerest apologies. My bad.
HaveAGreatDay: If anything, if at all there's any truth in all that donations nonsense, it is the PM who owes the rakyat an apology!
He should have cleared his name from minute the scandal broke instead of allowing his reputation, and by extension the reputation of the nation, to be dragged through the mud.
Res Ipsa: Salleh, you are nothing more than a ‘katak dibawah tempurong’ (frog under the coconut shell).
If you had taken the trouble to follow recent global development on the issues surrounding 1MDB, you would have appreciated that the noose is already tightening around your master's neck.
The countdown has already started and it won't be too long before Najib is hauled up before the US authorities to face criminal sanctions.
Don't you think that it will be better for you under the circumstances to just sit quietly by the wayside and watch the main show unfold. And by the way, rest assured that you have already done enough to leave the general public in stitches.
Ipohcrite: Salleh eagerly seized upon a drifting strand of straw to try to smooth over the entire sordid 1MDB debacle and make Najib a victim of circumstances.
Well, I have news for you, Salleh. The 1MDB thingy has just shifted into higher gear and the unholy stuff is going to hit the fan before you can even smugly pat yourself on the shoulder.
Negarawan: In April 1945, Joseph Goebbels, the Reich propaganda minister, proclaimed that "The battle for Berlin must become the signal for the whole nation to rise up in battle!"
Even at the moment of imminent defeat and death, such audacious announcements in support of Hitler's regime continued to be made. We can see the parallel here with Umno propaganda ministers and machinery. They have lost their moral bearings.
Speaking Sense: Instead of having their tails between their legs, the perpetrators and their apologists continue to delude themselves into believing that the people cannot think for themselves and will be deceived by their baseless denials and pontifications and can be blind to the crime that continues to amaze with each new revelation of the extent of the sheer corruption of their leaders.
Rupert16: First, Najib and his minions denied the truth. Then, they tried to hide the truth. When this failed, they used lies after lies to try convince us. Again this failed because it is too good to be true.
Next, they used harassment and fear to compel us to believe or accept their lies. If anything, this will also fail for the simple reason that their very actions only confirms their lies as well as stirring up other investigations which are no longer within their control.
