Liow, show Umno you too can play the backstabbing game

YOURSAY | ‘Umno and PAS have had their engagement and are waiting to seal their marriage.’

MCA chief distances gov’t, BN from Hudud Bill

Cogito Ergo Sum: If the government had not tacitly given its blessings, PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang's Private Member's Bill on hudud would not have been fast-tracked.

BN component parties and their leaders may be fools, but the rakyat are not.

Mamadias: MCA chief Liow Tiong Lai, how can you deny it when the speaker clearly stated that the government requested the bill to be moved from item 15 to no 1?

The speaker clearly stated that the request came from the government - Azalina Othman Said, the minister in charge of Parliament.

You mean she did this without the cabinet's approval? If she did, then what is the point of having a cabinet in the first place?

Armchair Newspaper: Liow, it’s funny that BN allowed Hadi's bill to jump queue without your knowledge.

If the bill is passed, you will have an additional accolade as the MCA president who killed the federal constitution.

Vijay47: Liow, once again we see you with your pathetic efforts at enhancing your self-efficacy. You would want us and the world to believe that you are suddenly the spokesman and public face of the government and BN.

But who are you actually? If indeed BN is not party to this hudud gambit, why isn't someone from Umno or the prime minister himself setting the record straight - since when did the office boy represent the management?

In any case, you are so very wrong in your belief. It is evident to everyone that Umno is involved in this ruse up to their scrawny necks.

Hadi's Private Member's Bill, for the first time since 1998 (!) was given preferential treatment and even allowed to jump the queue, with Umno and PAS leaders singing praises of this panacea for all of mankind's ills.

Conveniently, Hadi defers the debate. And you pop out of somewhere to clarify BN's stand on this issue.

RM2.6 billion Turkey Haram: Liow, it's no use saying BN does not support hudud. BN is Umno and Umno is BN. Whatever policy Umno wants, that would be the one. If it agrees to hudud, then it shall be implemented.

Currently, its policy is to defend Prime Minister Najib Razak's dubious donation blindly, oblivious to world exposes.

And Liow, what is your stand on this? What is MCA's stand? Are you and all your members so dumb and so stupid as not to see the mega wrong, while even idiots could?

ConstitutionIsSupreme: Good show, Liow. The next step is whether you have the courage to object to the tabling during the next Parliament sitting and next week's cabinet meeting; with the condition that you and other MCA leaders shall resign as cabinet ministers if Umno refuses to agree with you.

NA: It's funny how MCA, MIC, Gerakan and other non-Muslim BN parties were completely blindsided by this move and are now forced to run for cover and scrambling for excuses.

Sorry, Liow Tiong Lai, you and your party have been played out big time by your Umno master. Umno thinks they can rule Malaysia now with only PAS and maybe PBB in Sarawak.

Hang Pendatang: Liow, you can bark until you are blue in the face but your world-renowned Umno ‘taiko; will not give a damn.

Why? Because you are absolutely irrelevant. Yes, you all have been irrelevant since 2008.

Don't waste your breath. The latest forecast is, your pathetic party, Gerakan, MIC and PPP will be completely wiped out in GE14.

Real Truth: Umno and PAS have had their engagement and are waiting to seal their marriage at an opportune time. MCA, when asked to vote for hudud, would sublimely vote for it.

It would be in the interest of MCA to sever ties with BN.

Drngsc: 'Tung Shin Hospital' Liow, please think. Do we have to spell it out for you? Could Hadi ever get this bill on the agenda without Umno's approval?

Umno has no respect for MCA. They did not even give you a chance to object. Do you dare to ask Najib why he allowed the bill to be tabled?

But don’t worry. It is just shadow play for the two "buy elections" that are coming so that PAS can get votes. Basically Liow, MCA is irrelevant. The whole country can see it, except you.

Sans Blinkers: Talk is cheap. If you are sincere, as a sign of protest, ask MCA, Gerakan and MIC members to sit out the two forthcoming by-elections. Better still, vote for the Pakatan candidates.

Show Umno that you too can play the same the backstabbing game.

Democrat: You are sleeping with Umno, which is sleeping with PAS.

And remember how you whacked DAP? Well, DAP had the guts to break away with PAS over hudud. Do you have the guts to break away from Umno?

Anonyxyz: Does the emperor need to ask the eunuchs for approval? Eunuchs can only bark at the common citizens, and their authority and sense of importance are given by the emperor in exchange of their servitude.
