Frankly speaking, Musa, why write in the first place?

YOURSAY | What is the message when you don't dare to defend your work?

Musa Hitam: ‘Three ways to oust Najib’ wasn’t my idea

Negarawan: "Former deputy prime minister Musa Hitam said the three ways to oust Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, outlined in his latest book ‘Frankly Speaking’, were not his own ideas."

Musa Hitam is one of the veteran politicians in Malaysia who had many opportunities to make a real change for the country, but chose instead to just talk about the issues rather than doing anything concrete and meaningful for the rakyat and country.

Yet another "cari makan" chap. I am not even inspired to read any of his books.

Mushiro: If Musa doesn't dare to even defend his own writings - why write in the first place? Be a recluse and hide permanently. What is Musa's message to the heroes who are fighting the evils in the country?

What is Musa's message to the students who see all the wrongs that are going on - are they to ignore them and keep quiet?

What is Musa's message to the destitute and poor - that there is no hope? It is sad that a once Umno deputy president and deputy prime minister, is being apologetic just to defend his personal comfort zone.

Leonie: Since you were just plagiarising some people's ideas, why should we buy your book? Actually, the three suggestions were just 'coffeeshop talk' which would not get you into trouble.

Rick Teo: Musa has shown what type of character he possesses - that he is a man of straw. Where have all the good men with integrity gone to?

Is there not a good, principled man who has the guts to stand up and say in Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak's face that he has committed breach of trust and corruption, and he needs to step down and face the music?

Fairman: In your twilight years, you are destroying whatever little credibility that is left in you.

Clongviews: With this type of correction you are not "frankly speaking". No point in buying your book. Now, having cold feet, more clarifications and "misquotes" can be expected.

Xxxx: Then I better read other books than your 'Frankly Speaking' which is not frank at all, all hearsay and rubbish, and avoids responsibility. No respect for your kind.

Anonymous S303: So you got another teasing call from MO1 and decided to weasel out? You don't have an opinion?

Nes: There you have it; he chickened out before the ink was dry.

Voice: Forget all these leaders like Musa and Razaleigh. They are never with us anyway.

Arbeena: If Musa doesn't apologise now, the empire will strike without mercy.

Anonymous #13114320: All these years, he doesn't appear to have guts, so can't blame him this time round. There are many like him - talk only, but no action.

Anonymous_1371455474: Another senile voice in politics.

Falcon: The truth is we just don't suffer from a poor command of the English language, we also suffer from a lack of democratic processes, separation of powers, professionalism and what it is to serve truthfully and with conscience, as servants of the almighty

Malaysianlah: There you go again. Typical Malaysian politicians... It looks like me, sound like me, but... if you cannot understand, it's your problem in your understanding of English.

Lone_star: Moses Black, frankly speaking, you are not so frankly speaking. Might want to reconsider another title for your book. Can assure you that my 'England' is pretty good.

Proarte: 'Frankly Speaking For Others' should be the title of the book.

Existential Turd: His book should be retitled 'Frankly Repeating What Others Have Said'.

Maxit: It was not poor command of English. Why would you, in the first place, include these suggestions if you didn't endorse them? It means that you yourself want to see Najib removed as you have no confidence in him, like many of the rakyat.

SusahKes: And this is exactly why I am not not convinced that you could be among the agents of change in Malaysia. Enjoy reading your own book.

RCZ: Frankly speaking, what is the point of lauding the book? What is the point of this book in the first place? Getting old, so you want people to remember you?

Frankly speaking, you will be remembered as a blind, deaf and dumb Umno man, who destroyed the Malays and the country by doing nothing and allowing a kleptocrat to be and continue to be the PM.

Abasir: “One is what one is, and the dishonesty of hiding behind a degree, or a title, or any manner and collection of words, is still exactly that: dishonest.” - Kay Redfield Jamison, 'An Unquiet Mind: A Memoir of Moods and Madness'.

Anonymous_1391693662: It looks like Najib is anytime better then you. He has his own ideas on doing things. Either bad or good.

Factnot fiction: Thank you for the revelation, now I can save my money from buying trash.

Roger 5201: So much for 'Frankly Speaking', nothing is said despite his "good command of English".

JD Lovrenciear: In plain language it only could mean that here is a man who is spineless. You pen a book and now claim it's not yours?

Dark Times: It's your book, so you are accountable for its contents. Your lack in the English language is just an excuse.

Cascara: This is the real Musa Hitam. Did you expect anything more from him?

Hang Babeuf: Out of sight, out of mind, "out of context", out of luck - and we are out of patience with all this, and with those forlorn guys.

Existential Turd: Repeating ideas from others or not, he is still liable for spreading propaganda to topple a democratically elected government.

RR: Musa, you are not what you once were. What happened to you?
