Two Umno leaders have accused DAP of planting proxies in other opposition parties in order weaken Malay political dominance.

According to Umno information chief Annuar Musa, DAP's strategy involve planting Malays in PKR, Amanah and newly formed Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu).

These individuals will then stand as candidates for the upcoming election and should they win, will allow DAP to rule the country.

"DAP will attempt to place Malay as candidates (in opposition parties) as part of a strategy to control many seats held by their allies.

"PKR, Bersatu and Amanah will be relegated to junior members. DAP has succeeded in infiltrating their allies.

"They infiltrated PAS and split PAS. They infiltrated PKR and now I believe they will infiltrate Bersatu because these are their methods," said Annuar.

He was speaking to reporters before a briefing session at the Umno headquarters in Shah Alam today.

Annuar added that DAP had attempted to split the Malays by forging ties with former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and Amanah president Mohamad Sabu.

"DAP's upcoming strategy is to ensure Malays are split. They do so by accepting Mahathir, Anwar and Mohamad although all three have different (political) DNA and beliefs.

"But (in their quest) to overthrow BN and split the Malaysia, (modifying) the political DNA will create a new system and structure that will cause a big impact on our country," he said.

Similarly, Selangor Umno head Noh Omar said DAP are treating their Malay allies as puppets in their quest for equality.

"DAP will continue to show their dissatisfaction over what is enshrined under the Federal Constitution, especially on Malay rights, the position of Islam and other clauses specific to Malays in Selangor.

"They are not only splitting the Malays, they are using the Malays as spokespersons for DAP," said Noh.
