Four women remanded over ‘child abuse’ in nursery

Four women detained by the police to facilitate investigations into the alleged abuse of three children at a nursery in Bangi near Kuala Lumpur, have been remanded until tomorrow.

The suspects were picked up yesterday.

Kajang police chief ACP Othman Nanyan said the suspects were the nursery employees and owner.

Two days ago, pictures of the children whose hands and feet were tied up and their mouths gagged at the nursery went viral on social media.

Medical checks on the children did not indicate physical injury.

Meanwhile, Selangor police chief Abdul Samah Mat said the case was investigated for suspected abuse under the Child Act 2001.
