Johor Menteri Besar Mohamed Khaled Nordin must come clean on the state of his administration follow the string of arrests for graft involving various state government agencies, said Parti Amanah Negara (Amanah).

"As the chief executive, Khaled must be responsible for this issue because involved the son of one of his cabinet members, the land and mines office and the housing portfolio which is helmed by the menteri besar.

"The menteri besar must explain how leakages, swindling and abuse of power involving these agencies are happening of late," said Johor Amanah deputy head Dzulkefly Ahmad.

Dzulkefly was referring to the arrest of six individuals by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission yesterday, involving the seizure of 21 luxury cars, RM500,000 in cash and froze 45 bank accounts.

According to the MACC, the suspects allegedly colluded to reduce the land premium for development and industrial projects as well as the change of status for premises in the state.

Dzulkefly also pointed to a news report last month on a couple who lodged a police report against a Gelang Patah Umno division figure for corruption under the Johor Affordable Housing Scheme.

He said that combined, these incidents had cast doubt on the integrity of Khaled's administration.

In a related development, Khaled told reporters today that it was premature to decide on whether his administration would conduct internal investigations.

"We wait for the investigations by MACC," he said, according to Bernama.
