The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) today congratulated Umno on its 71st anniversary celebration and called on the party to fight corruption.

"As a backbone of the country's administration and a party with most seats, (Umno) leaders have a role in formulating the policies for the administration of the country and the progress of the nation.

"As leaders, Umno members are the hope of the community to execute their responsibility and trust given to safeguard the interest and welfare (of the community)," MACC said in a statement today.
