PKR vice-president Nurul Izzah Anwar has objected to the government's decision to appoint former inspector-general of police Abdul Rahim Noor as the new facilitator for the Southern Thai peace process.

Taking to Twitter, she described Rahim as a "brutal assaulter of an innocent man".
