Several former government officials and economic experts yesterday called on the government to restructure its fuel subsidy schemes.

Speaking on a forum on the mid-term review of the Ninth Malaysia Plan in Kuala Lumpur yesterday, former minister in charge of the Economic Planning Unit Effendi Norwawi said present fuel subsidies were unsustainable.
