Those who are planning to voice their disappointment over the political turmoil in Perak by leaving comments in Sultan Azlan Shah’s ‘guestbook’ may now have to look for another avenue in which to do so as the guestbook has been ‘deactivated’ by its website provider.

A check by Malaysiakini this afternoon revealed that the link to ‘ Buku Tetamu ’ has been removed, disabling visitors from leaving any comments on the site.

Even though the link has been removed, the comments on the guestbook can still be viewed via Dreambook , a third-party website.

One of the comments posted anonymously expressed anger and outrage over the Sultan’s decision to reject a dissolution of the state assembly and his request that Pakatan Rakya’s Mohd Nizar Jamaluddin step down and pave way for a BN takeover.

The comment read: " Apa lebihnya sultan? Kenapa kau perlu disembah dan diagungkan? Kau bernasib baik dilahirkan dikalangan keluarga tersebut tapi pada hakikatnya kau tu manusia biasa saja. Tak ada apa yang kau nak banggakan. Aku takkan menyembah sultan tapi kau dituntut menegakkan keadilan. Malang sungguh kau telah mengkhianatinya. Disebabkan kau seorang, rakyat Perak derita kembali ".

You are just lucky that you were born in a royal family but the fact remains that you are only a human being and have nothing to be proud of. BN set to govern Perak

The new BN government looks set to govern Perak starting today after only 11 months under Pakatan, who took over the state after the March 8 General Election. New Perak MB Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir was sworn in yesterday.

However, the BN claimed to have the majority of support because three defectors: Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi (Behrang), Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu (Changkat Jering) and former deputy speaker Hee Yit Fong (Jelapang) have vowed to support BN in any vote.

On Feb 4, Nizar met the Sultan to seek consent for the state assembly to be dissolved. Deputy Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, in his capacity as Perak Umno chief, went to meet the Ruler the following day to show that the BN had the majority of support to form the new state government.

The Sultan later issued a statement that Nizar was to resign as MB with immediate effect.

However, Mohd Nizar refused to step down, saying that he was still MB by constitutional right and would only do so if there was a vote of no-confidence against him when the state assembly reconvenes this April.
