The 8TV CEO Ahmad Izham should be aware that the controversial Ramadan TV ad was by no means a coincidence.

The station shot three different story lines but with the same derogatory insults directed to a certain race and at the same time it has misled the public with intolerant religious practices.

As a case in point, I have been buying food all these years at the Ramadan stalls. In most cases, the operators sell home-made food from their family recipes. Usually the operators are proud of their food/dessert and would offer me to sample it before deciding to buy it.

It is always before the breaking of fast time that I visit these stalls. Now, when was I ever seen to be offensive when I tasted the food that was offered as a sample by the Muslim operators (ie. eating in front of someone who is fasting)?

They were happy when I appreciated their cooking and I too, am pleased with the delicious food.

My question is why 8TV and Ahmad Izham has to come up with such racist story lines that potentially disrupt racial harmony.

Our Malaysian society and Malay friendly culture is fast diminishing due to the Umno racist school of thought. Ahmad Izham is no doubt another product of Umno.

Who is responsible for such a blunder? Shouldn’t Ahmad Izham offer to resign or get booted by the management if the station has social responsibility? I believe the public is keen to see 8TV take positive action rather than offer ‘lip service’ apologies.
