I think it was absolutely absurd of writer ADP to say that the Passion Of Christ - set to be screened among selected movie goers here soon - is not a religious movie.

From start to finish, Passion was all about Jesus Christ and no one else according to the Gospel -not of Matthew, Mark, Luke or John. Rather it was according to film director Mel Gibson in an attempt to rake in his millions at the box office.

The whole story was based on the Bible, which Christians believe is God inspired.

At times, Gibson strays away from the Holy Book and tries to give his own interpretation as to how a biblical scene might have transpired.

I thought that there were plenty of things about the show more wrong than right.

The sheer violent scenes were so grossly overdone that it loses credibility - no human being alive could have withstood such whipping or torture.

Furthermore, I don't like many of the historical aspects to Gibson's Christ including the way the Jews were negatively and unfairly portrayed in handing Jesus over to Pilate to be killed.

I certainly think that criticism as to how the Jews were stereotyped in that scene was certainly justified.

I was also appalled at the way with which Gibson's Gospel used little children to tease and torment Judas Iscariot after he betrayed Christ by driving him away until he had to kill himself in order to get away from the children.

What I'd like to know is where in the Bible did this scene of portraying children in such a negative light take place?

Speaking about historical and archaeological accuracy, why wasn't Jesus naked on the cross on the set as all criminals killed on the cross during Jesus' time would've been, according to Bible experts?

Satan was portrayed as an ugly baby as Jesus was being persecuted - and I thought this was the most despicable part about the movie.

Are we to infer then from 'Gibson's Bible' that all ugly people born with deformities are evil whilst all good persons are handsome?

As a Christian, I'm utterly disappointed and ashamed that Passion is being allowed for screening in Malaysia.
