Today we have been shocked with the news of Dr Ridhuan Tee quitting MCA after being a life member of MCA all along.

While it is no surprise that he quit a sinking ship party, the fact that he was a life member all along is shocking to many.

The fact that MCA has always been attacking DAP with it’s past association with PAS and having a ‘Chinese-attacking extremist’ like Ridhuan Tee as a life member makes MCA hypocrites and two-faced in their political stance all along.

One notable criticism by Ridhuan is the abolishment of vernacular schools after the prime minister announced that he will preserve them. It is a shock to learn that MCA has prominent members who actually urged the abolishment of vernacular education, when the party supposedly supports the continuation of our country's multicultural education legacy.

Another notable ‘attack’ by Ridhuan towards MCA is telling MCA to be ‘thankful’ for their cabinet posts.

We now wonder why MCA never took any action on Ridhuan all this while for his racist, divisive and anti-national statements.

While many may have applauded MCA president Liow Tiong Lai’s stance on the proposed syariah law amendments, he should also take responsibility and apologise to Malaysians especially the Chinese community which his party ‘claims to represent’ in the federal government that an extremist like Ridhuan Tee has been their member all along.

Perhaps MCA should take a look at their own backyard before meddling in other parties’ businesses.
