  • Blame the whistleblower, blame the press, divert public attention, and perhaps change the identity of the woman? Classic.

When I heard over TV1's news at noon that House Speaker Ramli Ngah Talib had rejected a motion to debate the 'ear-squat' incident as the PM had ordered an independent inquiry. I was shocked.

This is ridiculous. This is a classic case of cowardice on display by the Barisan National government. If the government is sincere in getting to the bottom of this scandal, this is a good opportunity for all MPs to sit down to debate the matter and hear the people out.

And does it not matter whether it was a Malaysian or Chinese national who was abused? Every persons held in police custody, male or female, should be treated humanely and given due respect.

The woman in the video clip could have been your mother, your sister or even your wife. it's time to revamp the police force what with so many complaints lodged against them for their inhumane treatment of those under their custody.

We urgently want this scandal be heard and discussed in Parliament in all transparency. Why put a stop to that, Mr Speaker? What are you afraid of? You are definitely not doing your job, so it's best you tender your resignation with immediate effect.
