I refer to the letters by Mr Cancer5330 , Kamarul Jaman , and Another Well-Travelled Christian .

The above three writers have taken the argument to the realm of theology, but this is not an issue of theology, but rather of human rights.

It is a basic human right that people be allowed to address God in any way they believe to be correct. Malaysian Christians who use 'Allah' - whether Senoi, Kadazan, Bidayuh, Iban, etc - should not be hindered in any way.

In my previous letter , I brought up the original Arab situation to show that the Quran itself does not deny this right. Certainly non-Malay Muslims I have met do not deny this right (and for that matter, many Malay Muslims I have met also do not deny this right.)

Another Well-Travelled Christian, Kamarul Jaman and Mr Cancer5330 would deny our bumiputera brothers and sisters in Christ the right to call God 'Allah' as they have all their lives as Christians. Would others, too, join them in denying them this basic human right?

By the way, MrCancer5330 is wrong about Indonesian Bibles using 'Alah' and not 'Allah'. Just Google for 'Indonesian Bible' and you will find many Indonesian Bibles online using 'Allah'. In fact, in my one-minute Google search, I did not find a single Indonesian Bible online that used 'Alah' instead of 'Allah'.
