I refer to the Malaysiakini report Ezam warns Anwar: I will reveal your dark secrets .

Why must Ezam warn Anwar? What dark secrets are there to reveal about Anwar? This is the problem with some aspiring leaders. They start off with character assassination and expect people to support them in politics.

This is no longer going to work in this country. People are no longer listening to media proganda and Ezam should have realised this. Some of our aspiring leaders should learn from the West and be taught to be more polished in politics.

Reading from the comments readers wrote on Ezam from the blogs, almost 99 percent despise him. Why? Ezam should ask himself, why? Ezam was in Umno at one time, then left for Parti Keadilan Rakyat. He was the man who went all out to defend Anwar, was his protege when the latter was in jail.

He was then a respected personality. That was the time he claimed to have so much evidence against Umno leaders. He was all out condemning them and also claimed that he had boxes of evidence against them.

Unfortunately, till today nothing came out from those boxes. This is a matter of integrity. When he could not produce the evidence, he lost his integrity. And why talk about integrity now? This sounds funny to many of us. This very event has made the people distrust him.

As a Muslim, or being religious in whatever way, he should not have claimed as such and defame Umno leaders at that time. If he could not produce the evidence, he should not then defame others.

This is fitnah in Islam and he should know what the punishment is for fitnah . But, ironically, Ezam has not apologised to those leaders he had condemned. As a Muslim he should do it and the public should be the witness to his apology.

Now, he is back in Umno and playing the same old card. He is now condemning Anwar, his former close political buddy. His propaganda is not getting any positive response from the rakyat . Anwar is not responding to his rhetoric at all though other PKR leaders are up in arms against him.

Ezam should realise that he cannot go far with this sort of politics. People are not that naive to listen and be influenced by his propaganda. The rakyat knows that he has hopped and crossed boundaries in the political scene. Sad to say, he is just spoiling his political career by acting in this manner.

What goes around comes around, they say. No man can evade the law of karma on this earth. There is no point throwing stones at other people’s glass house when we are also living in a glass house and claiming that we are clean.

There are people out there who will also find fault in us. It is just a matter of time. Now the people are talking and asking about the massive renovation Ezam is doing to his house in Shah Alam. The present house itself is huge and now the sudden added massive wing to it which is still undergoing construction.

Ezam was practically jobless before he decided to join Umno. Ezam should not blame the rakyat or his nemesis if they start inquiring how he managed to get the means to go for such an extensive renovation.

I am not accusing him of any wrongdoing, but the people out there, especially those in the opposition, may have a different perception of him after seeing this huge structure being further expanded.

Furthermore, the renovation is just after he had joined Umno. I believe Ezam may have a good explanation for this and will put this case to rest. Or else, the rakyat will keep on questioning his integrity.
