'Khir Toyo, don't try be a saint'

‘You are the product of a generation of corrupt and spoilt politicians - the remnants who speak deception with such confidence and yet enrich themselves.’

On Stop fueling hatred against MACC

Doraisamy Karuppiah: Mohd Khir Toyo, that’s not for you to say! During your tenure as menteri besar of Selangor, have the MACC ever questioned or investigated you? As MB for eight years, you manage to find millions of ringgit until you can build a ‘palace’ of your own. As a dentist, do you think that you can afford to buy such a huge plot of land and build a huge bungalow?

MACC should first investigate you instead going after state reps who have just took over the state government. MACC, the police and the BN government are all the same. Don’t try to be saint, when the whole Malaysian knows that you are not.

Jeremy Tankh: Former Selangor MB Mohd Khir said, "Let this tragedy be a lesson to all of us. Do not politicise MACC investigations to the point that it creates the impression that the commission is acting on the behest of a certain political party."

What is Khir trying to say? Lesson to what? Not to stand near a window? Not to go to MACC building? Not to "play, play" with MACC? Not to mess around with Umno/BN? Or else, what? Another "sudden death"?

My God, this man has no heart. Someone's son and someone's fiance has just died, and he said let "let this be a lesson"! What if the decease were to be his own son or future son-in-law?

Is he sending a warning? Does he know something we all don't?

I can't believe this Khir is a dentist. Even worse, a former menteri besar.

CH Siew: What right has Khir Toyo to tell people not to fuel hatred? When he has been the champion in doing so. Obviously he is in total denial that he is part of the problem. The fact that MACC has totally ignored his ‘istana’ and chose to investigate minute expenditure by the opposition tells a great deal about his relationship with MACC.

This person is such a hypocrite that my lunch urged to come out from my mouth whenever I see him. Is he serious about asking people to stay calm or is he unhappy that there is not enough injustice caused?

YSM: You’re right Khir Toyo, PKR and DAP shouldn’t fuel hatred against MACC. In fact, PKR and DAP doesn’t have to fuel hatred for MACC. MACC is pouring fuel on themselves by being the lapdog of BN and by selective prosecution of all Pakatan Rakyat Aduns.

Truth be told, the hatred is not only upon MACC, it is also upon you, Mr Toyo. For you now represent all that is wrong with the BN. You are the product of a generation of corrupt and spoilt politicians - the remnants who speak deception with such confidence and yet enrich themselves.

The rakyat do not only hate the MACC, it extends to you. It extends to the rude and insensitive Nazri who also issues a less-than-intelligent statement .

Phang Teng Fook: Please ‘Mr Beggar’, do not beg the MACC to do its job , rather beg the voters who continue to blindly elect BN, despite all its unscrupulous dealings, corruption and abuses of of power.

If more voters were to vote with their head rather their sentiments, come next general election, we should vote out the BN government. However, it is pertinent that Pakatan Rakyat choose its candidates wisely, or we have an even worse government than BN. God bless Malaysia.

Sri Kumar: I'm very sad to keep on hearing there are many incidents such as the arrest opposition leaders and their supporters, innocent people being tortured in custody, deaths in custody and so on. It’s very clear that in Malaysia, the police and the MACC are almost the same because both are working for their BN bosses and not for the public.

Why is it so super important for MACC to investigate Pakatan leaders and their officers when even the whole Malaysia knows there are so many other bigger cases. If there is no proper investigation on the controversial palace of Khir Toyo and PKFZ, then it is 110% clear that MACC is working for Umno.

Once again, the people of Malaysia need to gather in the city centre to show their dissatisfaction against the authorities and fight to bring them under control of the Parliament. We are indeed 1PoorMalaysia.

Crystal Wong:

I have an unexpressed anger towards MACC and BN who behave like a bully. At the same time, I have the feeling of helplessness - how come our beautiful country can be invaded by a million of foreign labourers, and at the same has a million of dishonest, unscrupulous people in a leading party. Is there any future for Malaysia?

Michael: If a healthy young man is punched and kicked to his death with a phone book, it is sometimes difficult to see any external injury with the naked eye. However, even an inexperienced pathologist would be able to identify the internal injury sustained, eg liver or splenic rupture, pneumothorax (lungs rupture), haemorrhage/bleeding in the brain or lungs.

However, if the body is subsequently thrown down from a high building, it will take a very experience pathologist to differentiate between the internal injuries sustained from physical abuse and the physical impact from falling from a high rise. Perhaps an opinion from a second pathologist is necessary to clear the doubts.

Ratormo: I suggest that the government nominates Teoh Beng Hock for a Tunship. He died for democracy and for all Malaysians. He is a national hero. He deserves the Tunship more than most of the Tuns still walking around!

MM: Pakatan should not jump to conclusion and try to get political mileage from Teoh's death. I have a sense that there may be some other reasons for the death. DAP especially has to calm down and let the investigation to go on. Lim Kit Siang’s assumption that a person going to get married is always happy is wrong. Also Ronnie Liu should not act like a gangster in demanding to see Teoh’s body.

Secondly, MACC should not do selective investigation. What about the tonnes of complaints against BN leaders? Why no investigation and action at all? Now the people will start to think MACC is an agent of BN rather than an independent body. I think the root cause is because the PM has the power to select the MACC chief. Clearly, the MACC is not independent at all. By the way, what happen to the Selangor MB’s cow case?
