'Gerakan, why still back a racist party?'

vox populi big thumbnail 'Gerakan has only one way to show us that it rejects racism: leave BN and do not subscribe to Umno ideals.'

Gerakan at odds with DPM over Zul Noordin

SusahKes: Dr Teng Hock Nan, the entire Umno is racist, so why the wimpish noise? What have you got to say about Ibrahim Ali? Or BTN? What about Ridhuan Tee Abdullah or Utusan Malaysia ?

Kgen: If such disagreements were in Pakatan Rakyat, the mainstream would have gone to town and said the coalition is cracking up. You see the difference in treatment? Pakatan has been the victim of bad press to give the impression that the coalition is fragile.

What's astounding is Kedah Gerakan's courage in speaking up. And this following the brave Youth chief Tan Keng Liang who opposed the prime minister's opposition on local government elections. What bravery! What courage!

At least there's somebody still alive in the party.

Artchan: Zulkifli belongs to Umno, no doubt about it. Gerakan has only one way to show us that it rejects racism: leave BN and do not subscribe to Umno ideals.

Disgusted: Umno is a racist and bigoted party, so Zulikfli Noordin certainly fits well into it. Umno supports Perkasa, which is a brain child of the Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is using Ibrahim Ali to front it. Most members of Perkasa are Umno members.

Pathologist: Not possible Teoh was strangled

Perak Boleh: Good job, Dr Shahidan Md Noor. The next Health Ministry director-general post is reserved for you. After a 10-day break and with intensive coaching by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission legal team, you made a U-turn and contradicted what you have said in court during cross examination by Gobind Singh Deo's team.

Cala: Dr Shahidan is no longer a credible pathologist. How can we take his words when he has the audacity to praise the two government pathologists who did the first two post-mortems for jobs well done.

Then, under interrogation by Teoh Beng Hock's family lawyer, he admitted that the duo did not follow basic standard procedure in conducting the post-mortem on a person under sudden death? In addition, Dr Shahidan himself overlooked the injury sustained on the neck of the late Teoh.

Are these signs of cover- up?

Concerned citizen: If people say they doubt the government pathologist, do not forget that Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand was hired and paid by the Selangor state government which has a vested interest in the death of the late Teoh.

If we were to assume one pathologist would answer in the inquest to help the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC), it might also be said that Dr Pornthip is helping the Selangor government.

Let the inquest proceed and have some trust. Everyone and anyone can have suspicion and their own opinions.

Cops to grill Anwar tomorrow

Long Arm: Why have the police not grilled the people who went into a church and ridiculed the most sacred sacrament of the Catholics? Why have they not grilled the PM on the allegations of his alleged complicity in the murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu? Why have they not grilled his wife Rosmah Mansor on the alleged transfer of money via a money lender? Is this the police or thugs at work here?

Keanjin: The police have no better things to do? If politicians don't talk about politics, then they are not politicians. The prime minister and deputy prime ministers talk about politics during their ceramahs, why don't the police grill them?

A lot of BN voters will have more reason to shift their votes to Pakatan the more the police act in this unfair manner.

Indian community gives Pakatan, BN mixed reviews

Putra: RS Thanenthiran and K Vasanthakumar both betrayed the Indian community. Indians are far away from the mainstream development. Hindraf awakened the Indians with its Nov 25, 2007 rally and worked hard for Pakatan to win.

But Pakatan, especially its Indian leaders in DAP and PKR, have not delivered on their promises. Pakatan has to address all the issues pertaining to Indians in Malaysia, but it has yet to even talk to Hindraf/Human Rights Party. Why?

Darren: After half a century of BN rule, our society has become extremely racist and cowardly. I call upon Indians to lend their support to Pakatan Rakyat, at least to form the next government. It is time that we all stand united as one, irrespective of race, religion and creed. Let's nurture a society that will take care of all of its underprivileged.

Let's broaden our thinking. It is very disgusting to see the faces of men who only talk of their own community. Remember, the cake is enough for all of us.
