The investigation follows a rally blitz by Anwar in a bid to shore up support during his second sodomy trial with a Pakatan Rakyat Anniversary Penang rally scheduled tonight.

Anwar is accused by his former assitant, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan of sodomising him at Desa Damansara Condominium on Jun 26, 2008.

The sodomy trial has been postponed to March 25 to enable Anwar's team to file an appeal to have its presiding High Court judge recused.
