RM52 bil gone: 'What say you, Perkasa?'

vox populi big thumbnail 'No wonder, after 52 years, the NEP failed to achieved its purpose. RM52 billion in leakages? The Umno government has being in power for 52 years. Let them explain how that occurred.'

'Trace the missing RM52 bil in bumi shares'

Azmil Tayeb: The whole of the government's financial books must be audited and (the findings) reported to Parliament. This is the way to make the administrators accountable and recover the leakages.

A royal commission must be installed now to look deeply into the massive losses. The rakyat demand to know where the money has gone to.

Beetle: No wonder, after 52 years, the New Economic Policy had failed to achieved its purpose. RM52 billion in leakages? The Umno government has being in power for 52 years. Let them explain to the Malays how that occurred.

Perkasa is suppose to fight for the Malays: Where is your voice in this matter?

Ibrahim Ali, stop trying to fool your own race. They are not as silly as you think they are. They have seen through your hypocritical ways to draw the Umno rejects to Perkasa.

Peace: The most important thing is to find out when the share were allotted to bumiputeras, and then find out where they went. It means that if the NEP is maintained and not corrected, Malays will always be cheated by those who distribute it.

Who had the authority to distribute those shares? What happened to it? If it landed in non-bumiputera hands, how was that allowed to happen? Form a royal commission to investigate this national matter.

Black Mamba: RM52 billion worth of shares owned by bumi sold to non-bumi and stashed away into foreign banks? Don't blame the non-bumi for purchasing the shares as they are buying it to hold as a long-term investment. Blame it on the cronies who got it for a song under the guise of NEP at the expense of the majority middle-class Malays.

30 families live 20 yrs without water, electricity

Disgusted: This is Najib Razak's state and he wants to talk about Kelantan under PAS? If there is a by-election here, all he would do is throw RM20-RM30 to secure the peoples' votes. It is part of Umno's tactics to keep the rural people poor so that they can be bribed into voting for them.

Kick BN out and these people will prosper. These are the Malays who need the NEP, not Mahathir's sons, ministers, top civil servants and their relatives.

Joanna Chee: What a shameful and disgusting situation to be in. And BN states are claiming to be better managed than the others? What a load of crap by the responsible entities in Malaysia. Are we in the dark ages or what? Shameful and disgusting.

These poor bumiputeras are in such poverty but the billionaire son of Mahathir can't even raise a single sen to help them?

Sheila Dowle: It is painful to hear the plight of the true orang asal of this land, yet, it is great that it has come to light at last. We have oil, vast resources and gleaming buildings, but we still have no time for the poor.

The rich cannot see past the tinted windows of their Mercedes or past the high walls of their exclusive residences - they have got fat from dirty money, the very same people who run our country like it's their fiefdom.

What is the government doing to help our people? It's unbelievable that we still have villages with no basic necessities and health care. Here we shout about Palestine and Burma, yet, we treat our own like outcasts.

HRP to stay out of Hulu Selangor race

Ksn: This seems a wise decision. There is something Hindraf and Human Rights Party should realise and accept. Hindraf, by its earlier action of demonstrations, awakened our people - not just Indians, but the Chinese and the Malays as well. That was a great beginning.

But Hindraf should not get carried away by that splendid job. Accept reality and declare your support and allegiance, once and for all. After all that BN did - or rather did not do - for Indians for the past 50 years, it is time for Hindraf to declare where it stands.

It seems it has only one choice. Educated Indians have no problem in this matter, but those who are not so well-informed are confused by the conflicting statements and actions from the various personalities of Hindraf.

GK: What good do you get from staying neutral, Hindraf/HRP? You are well aware the birth of Hindraf is because of Umno, yet you choose to remain 'neutral' by not stating your stand in supporting Pakatan Rakyat.

As long as Hindraf/HRP do not share the same aspirations as the rakyat at large and keep their Indian votes as 'bargaining chips', Hindraf/HRP will soon become another MIC, Makkal Sakthi Party, IPF and PPP.

Having said this, Indians are no fools. They know which party to vote for. I am optimistic they will vote for Pakatan Rakyat.

Christ Follower: P Uthayakumar, this is a right and sensible move. It's better to have your Hindraf movement as an NGO, and we shall support it. Forever, you must be an hero of the Indian community and fight for their cause and you will be remembered. Never think of self-interest, put the people's interest first.
