For some, Zaid has gone from hero to zero

your say 'Thank God, Zaid did not win the Hulu Selangor by-election. Had he won, he would left PKR and become BN friendly.'

Zaid looks set on forming new party

Alan Goh: Zaid Ibrahim, once I looked up to you with respect, but not anymore. You are just too impatient and want everyone to conform to your view.

But managing human beings is the greatest challenge in life. Everyone has one's own beliefs, ideals and above all, self interests. For them, it is ‘what's in it for me?' You don't think that Umno and BN members are there to serve the king and country? Yes, but only after satisfying their greedy, corrupted needs.

The reality is that a Third Force will result in a three-cornered fight, and that will benefit Umno/BN, who are already advantaged, what with a bias Election Commission.

Zaid, just resign from PKR, stay out of politics and let there be a straight fight between Umno/BN and Pakatan Rakyat at the 13 th general election.

Anonymous: I simply do not know where Zaid stands now - one minute he says that he will not leave PKR; another minute, he says that he may form a new party, PKR Baru? Now he also says he wants to be in Parliament?

Although he came out as being a principled man when he quit the cabinet, he was ambivalent about contesting for the PKR deputy president's post. Then he said he would not contest the position if Khalid Ibrahim wanted to. Later, he says he would pull out if Nurul Izzah Anwar contested that seat.

When the election was said to be unfair and not transparent, he should have quit there and then. But he failed to do so until the Sabah results came out and were not in his favour.

With due respect to him, I find his stand shifting from one to another.

Johor Observer: Zaid is waiting for PKR to sack him so that he can fish for sympathy support. He's crazy for power, yet he claims otherwise. All this nonsense came out from him when he lost the race for deputy president. This man has gone from hero to zero.

KLeo: I don't want to see the opposition split in two, but I'd seriously support Zaid and his politics of idealism if he were to form 'Keadilan Baru', and I think I represent young voters who are not shackled by fidelity to Anwar or fidelity to Zaid, or fidelity to anybody.

We are dead serious about fair and democratic politics. DAP, PAS and PKR should take this very seriously. There will be a sizeable exodus of Pakatan Rakyat members to Keadilan Baru.

Justicekini: Just like Umno, when it was deregistered by the Registrar of Societies, Mahathir Mohamad formed Umno Baru. Over the years, they dropped the word ‘Baru'. Now you, Zaid, want to be a copycat and confuse the rakyat?

Can't you figure out another more appropriate name? Why Keadilan Baru? Why not Justice Zaid Baru? Men of principle will not do things in this manner.

Yobama: Yes, Zaid, you form your own party. You will be president of this new party. But please do not use the word 'keadilan', as I am sure PKR members would not like that.

I am sure you are very resourceful and will find suitable words for your new party. Bahasa Malaysia is quite rich in words, although not as rich as languages like Arabic, English or French.

We wish you luck on your new party and you wish to see good governance for this country. It's a pity that you did not see PKR as a convenient vehicle for you to share your ideal.

BTN: In the midst of battle there must be only one general. If a soldier keeps complaining and does not carry out the general's instructions, then the soldier needs to be disciplined.

There will be lots of casualty along the way and those who hold fast to the struggle through thick and thin will be rewarded. Only true and honest warriors are needed if there is to be reformasi. Selfishness and greed has no place in the new order.

Fantastic4: Zaid, it would be better for you to retire than to form a new party. You are not doing anyone a favour except for yourself. Don't split our votes and make Barang Naik (BN) happy.

Aramsa: Zaid can do what he wants, I don't care. I would not like to predict whether he will survive, even as a mosquito party. But the key point is this, "die die", Umno/BN must be routed out. There is no two ways about it. The opposition that we now know and have under Pakatan shall be the only force to take on this task.

I don't care whether it is an unknown angel or known devil, come what may, the sole objective is very clear, period.

Christ Follower: Thank God, Zaid did not win the Hulu Selangor by-election. Had he won, he would left PKR and become BN friendly. It looks as though he is only interested in becoming an MP and sit in Parliament.

Now he is seeking PM Najib Razak's help to become MP. He may become a thorn in the flesh to whoever he is going to be a partner. Najib, beware. He is not a man of principle as everyone thought.

Rolls-Royce: Zaid said, "I will do what I feel". What do you mean by that, doing what you feel? You think politics and forming a government is depending on how you feel each morning?

For a while, I thought you are one of the future leaders of Malaysia. But not anymore. I think you have done more damage than helped in the cause of reformasi and opposition in this country.

There are no perfect party or perfect system and don't you ever forget you are not perfect also. The most important thing is to forge a common ground and move on - sometimes it's two steps forward, one step backward.

But judging from your statements, you don't seem to be a man of wisdom. Life is shades of gray, not pure white and black. Yours too is gray, don't you ever overlook that.

Please leave if you want, why the need to be sacked. That again shows you are more of a troublemaker than a peacemaker. Enough, just go.

1Msia Benar: Why are you so actively giving interviews to Pakatan Rakyat's media enemy - Utusan Mingguan and New Straits Times , Zaid?

Ah Hoe: I sympathise with Zaid because the PKR party polls lack integrity. That has been what he was complaining about. Even the third deputy president candidate (Mustaffa Kamil Ayub) complained.

There were 169 complaints about the polling process but the party's CEC (central election commission) did nothing other than to proclaim the questionable polls would continue, with obvious result. Isn't that enough to make most of us mad, let alone a candidate like Zaid.

Vice-president candidate Jonson Chong has written an open letter to PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail appealing to her to at least conduct an independent audit at PKR Libaran division, but she remains silent, not daring to even have the courtesy of a reply.

It seems set that Anwar and his cohorts want to ensure Azmin will win, regardless of complaints about the questionable lack of integrity in the polling process.

Black Mamba: Zaid, just stay out of politics. If you can't work within your party, what makes you think you can work with the grassroot masses in your elected constituency when you are always aloof like a know-it-all person?

Anonymous: I bet his own followers will revolt against him in the new party... just wait and see. With his kind of selfishness, arrogant and lack of organisational discipline, I wonder who will last with him.

Perhaps his money will work this time.
