Communist bogey: Will Agong stop the madness?

your say 'I really hope our king will step forward and asks the Umnoputras to stop dragging his name through the mud just to try and derail Bersih.'

Police: PSM 'communists' waging war on Agong

Anonymous_417c: It is my sincere wish that the DYMM SPB Yang diPertuan Agong would take the necessary action to defuse the current situation wherein the central government is raving mad and utilising all its instruments of power to prevent a basic request for the implementation of procedures to ensure transparent elections.

There has been so many misgivings on the election processes in Malaysia and there has been gross inaction by the Election Commission on requests for correction of anomalies and any fair-minded Malaysian can see no logic in disallowing the rally. Unless, of course, if the palace has no power to intervene here.

Loyal Malaysian: The police are resurrecting the communist bogeyman just to throw another spanner at Bersih 2.0. These morons in blue are really lacking the grey area of their brains. I really hope our king will step forward and asks the Umnoputras to stop dragging his name through the mud just to try and derail Bersih 2.0.

Nik V: All political parties and NGOs not aligned to Umno-Perkasa-BN should be in constant communication with international media companies like CNN, CNBC, Reuters , Al-Jazeera and BBC, so that the world will bear witness to the truth when Najib's government cracks down on the good citizens of Malaysia.

Kee Thuan Chye: Oh, my God, what will they trump up next? Selling T-shirts bearing faces of Chin Peng and Rashid Maidin amounts to resurrecting communism? Do the authorities have such puny minds? At which level of schooling did they drop out of?

Hello, the Communist Party of Malaya is long dead and gone. Selling these T-shirts amounts to waging war against the Agong? What nonsense is this? Can Malaysians believe this hogwash?

Hamisu: PDRM's (Malaysian Royal Police's) credibility and integrity is already at a low point. Even I would not trust the police force. With all the imaginary communism and anti-Agong charges pulled out of thin air, I can only conclude that the PDRM really believes the rakyat are stupid.

Perhaps, it is time all Malaysians are educated about the constitution and their rights at an early age. At least when they are adults, they can tell fact from fiction about the injustices in this country.

OneOldFatGuy: Better burn all the ‘Made in China' T-shirts with Mao Zedong face lest we will be labelled communists sympathisers.

Just like what Captain Picard in Star Trek said, "Beam me up Scotty, there is no intelligent life-form here in PDRM."

Ferdtan: Who brought the communist to town? Yes, our Malaysian government. Didn't th Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao, the leader of the world's largest communist party, visited Malaysia on the invitation of Prime Minister Najib Razak two months ago? Even our Agong gave an audience to Wen.

So please Penang deputy police chief Abdul Rahim Jaafar, go and arrest our ministers - they were openly making 'friends' with the communists, like the PSM activists that you claimed to be communist sympathisers.

For the information of the police, communism is kind of dead - even China is more capitalist than most western countries. Malaysia has diplomatic relations with most communist countries. And as for the Communist Party of Malaya (CPM), they had also signed a peace agreement with our government.

If you are still ignorant - go and ask your former boss, ex-IGP Rahim Noor, who negotiated with CPM leader Chin Peng.

Anonymous: Soooo 50s.

Quigonbond: You have to take your hats off for BN's creativity. It's a shame that instead of putting them to good use, they prefer figuring out ways to embezzle public funds and curtail constitutional rights.

Patriot: The end of BN rule is nearer than I thought. At the rate the police are acting recently, it shows signs of a regime that has lost its mandate to govern.

We even have a minister who is not a politician who preached that to help the poor citizens, BN government needs to introduce GST so that even the poor must pay the consumption tax and then we reduce corporate and personal income taxes for the rich.

This is a classic oxymoron statement, and if it had come from Umno I won't be surprised, but it came out of a ex-top corporate man. Yes, Malaysia is really going to the dogs.

DannyLoHH: The police no longer uphold the laws, specifically the highest law of the nation - the Malaysian Constitution.

Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali had publicly issued threats of bloodshed and violence, yet he is walking free. Whereas Bersih, which pledged to hold a peaceful rally, is being targeted, arrested and now charged with dubious excuses.

We are fast descending into a police state. The police force is no longer a respected public institution, but is solidifying the perception that they are the ruling regime running dogs.

Meranti Kepong: Let me remind the Penang police that the PSM leaders aren't waging any war against the Agong. So please don't you fabricate your justification in arresting the PSM people.

If you are suffering from dementia, let me remind you that the Communist Party of Malaya under Chin Peng had signed a tripatrite Peace Accord with the Malaysian and Thai governments in the 1980s. The war with the Malaysian communists armed forces was over a long, long time ago.

Whom are you trying to scare, your pants or those ignorant BN-Umno fat cats? Someday soon, your new boss could be Pakatan, so you better watch out.

Anonymous_40dd: Is the police into politics? They talk and behave like Umno's runners.

Ablastine: By now there must be hundreds of thousands of Bersih T-shirts in circulations and many more being printed. The Umno government is actually aggravating the situation for themselves by initiating a war against the people.

Arresting people just for wearing some T-shirt is the most stupid thing to do. Reason for arrest - prevent them from wanting to have a free and fair election? All this aggravation by Umno is just helping the honourable Bersih cause. The more they do it, the fiercer the backlash from the people.

One just need to look around at governments that try to suppress people's power and where they end up eventually. There is no reason why Malaysia should be different.

Anonymous_3ee5: If you are afraid to go for the the Bersih peace rally because you have family and kids - you can do your part by just wearing a yellow T-shirt at home, going to the neighbourhood, shopping, gardening, driving to the market, picking up your kids from tuition, to the barber, the food stall next door or grocery shop, etc. That is enough to send the signal to the rest of the world.

Docs: PSM should wear red for Bersih 2.0. The FRU may get confused if it's PSM or Umno Youth, and will not know if they are to whack or water cannon them.

Alan Goh: During blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin trial, wearing black T-shirt - cannot. During the Perak state assembly crisis, wearing red T-shirts - cannot. Now wearing yellow T-shirt - cannot.

Anonymous_40a7: So much for "police impartiality" - arresting everyone related to Bersih 2.0, but leaving Ibrahim Ali to spew his racist and malicious words.
