Umno Youth exco member Lokman Noor Adam will be taking PKR Secretary-General Saifuddin Nasution Ismail to court for alleging the former had suggested "burning down the PKR headquarters".

NONE Calling Saifuddin's claims slanderous, Lokman said that he wants to sue the Machang MP for RM500,000.99.

"The RM500,000 are the damages for having inconvenienced me. And the RM0.99 is for what I think Saifuddin ( left ) is worth," said Lokman of the unusual figure.

Lokman was formerly a PKR Youth leader before his resignation in 2004 to rejoin his former party. He is now in charge of the public speaking bureau in Umno Youth.

He also lodged a police report earlier this afternoon on Saifuddin's remarks which he claimed had damaged his reputation.

NONE Lokman had on Tuesday night led a noisy demonstration of about 300 Umno Youth members in front of the PKR HQ in Petaling Jaya to protest against their involvement in the upcoming Bersih 2.0 rally.

Saifuddin, who watched the demonstration from a distance, claimed that Lokman had threaten to burn down the PKR office as well as issuing warnings to the party's de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim and the Bersih 2.0 steering committee chairperson S Ambiga.

Lokman has since denied having uttered those remarks claiming that he was misunderstood.

He also charged at Saifuddin, calling him a ‘big liar' and that everyone in Umno Youth knows that the building is not owned by PKR.

"This building is owned by (businessman Soh Chee Wen). He is now fighting with Anwar.

"Don't tell me we want to burn down a building that's owned by Anwar's enemy. An enemy of Anwar is a friend of ours," he said, challenging Saifuddin to unveil the recording of him saying that he will burn the building down.

Scuffle with PKR supporters

Lodging the report at the police station just a few doors away from the PKR HQ in Tropicana, Lokman and his entourage of 30 was greeted by about 40 PKR Youth members.

NONE Accompanied by the Umno Youth information chief Reezal Marican Naina Marican, tension quickly escalated when both sides traded barbs at each other.

When the Umno men were about to enter the police station, the PKR Youth members shouted at them and Reezal was seen trying to approach them.

However, five policemen from the light strike force in partial riot gear stood in between to ensure that the group did not clash while the deputy PKR Youth chief Khairul Annuar Ahmad Zainuddin pacified his men.
